Homosexuality is condemned in BOTH the Old and New Testaments. Homosexual acts, yes. One must distinguish between acts and orientation.

There are many medical conditions (and prescription drugs) that reduce the libido to zero. Sex becomes no longer of interest at all.I understand that, but these are temporary conditions or conditions that onset later in life. I'm not aware of any humans who don't develop or experience libido at some time in their lives.

Yes, you are quite right, I forgot to mention that part, and that is a very important part of sex within marriage, it was a mistake leaving it out, I thank you for correcting the mistake. God Bless

I believe you are correct on this sink...castration makes the act impossible but not the thought..99% of sex is in the brain..that is why Jesus warned that a man that has committed adultery in his head is guilty...
I accept the churches teaching that the "tendency" is not sinful..but I think the head thoughts sure are...but then we are all sinners saved by grace..even the homosexuals..
Sink I just do not want active homosexuals in the ministry period (and I do not care what church we are talking about!)
I do not know how the RC church or any church does this...but for the safety of the children and the name of Chrsit they must

Homosexuality is an aberration of sexual normalcy and causes an out-of-control sexual appetitethose who cannot control themselves should not be watching over our children. Take the Boy Scouts for example. How can a Scoutmaster be entrusted as the sole, unchecked supervisor to care for your kids out in the woods, far away from authority, if he is not sexually restrained? The same goes for the public schools, such as Fairfax High School here in Los Angeles, which many years back adopted a program called Project 10, which encouraged kids to live as homosexuals openly and freely. The indoctrination of young, innocent minds by homosexual teachers goes against a childs conscience and innocence and is contrary to the teachings of most parents.
Anyone remember watching C-SPAN in April of 1993 when they carried the Gay March on Washington? Here is the list of 10 Platform demands they were seeking at the time:
1.) Elimination of all laws prohibiting sodomy, transgendered expression (cross-dressing) and sado-masochism. 2.) Lower the age-of-consent for homosexual and heterosexual sex.
3.) Implementation of homosexual, bisexual and transgendered curriculum at all levels of education.
4.)Legalization of homosexual marriages.
5.) Custody, adoption and foster care rights for homosexual, lesbians and transgendered people; re-definition of family to include the full diversity of all family structures.
6.) Access to all programs of the Boy Scouts of America.
7.) Affirmative action for homosexuals and lesbians.
8.) Inclusion of sex-change operations under a universal health care plan.
9.) Abortion on demand for all people, without restriction and regardless of age.
10.) A national needle exchange program.
And why didn't they mention gay priests? Because they were already working their magic in the seminaries. They had set for themselves a goal in the early 70's to takeover the mainline denomination seminaries, not just Catholic. They had enough people in place that whenever the Pope gave any directive it would immediately be diregarded.

I am sorry to say that yet again the media is failing us by refusing to tell us that the primary problem within the church is an epidemic of homosexual priests. We know that most victims of these crimes are young boys, and the perpetrators are grown menwhy is it so hard to say that this epidemic is a direct result of homosexuals being given authority that they should not have?
Well luckily most people are smart enough to figure this out for themselves. The only ones who don't get it are the folks in the media and those elderly Jewish voters down in Florida that voted for Buchanan.

Thanks, Spin. Great post. This one cuts to the heart of it.

SAD (those who practice homosexuality) folksI like that! Thanks! I'm going to use it from now on. SAD sure makes more sense to me than "gay."

He did not indulge the temptations mentally. He did not sin in any manner. Amen!
Christ died to pay the penalty for our sins, and to free us from sin. NOT to continue to party like its 1999.
Organizations like "Dignity USA" treat the crucified Christ as a Get Out of Jail Free card rather than as a Savior. And as far as that annoying scripture in Leviticus Chapter 18 ------ahhhh, well, ummmmmmmmm, I guess God does not mean what He says.

Yeah...SAD works for me, too. But I did not coin this-it actually refers to homosexuals who achieve orgasms thru trysts with same sex partners and stands for same-sex addictive disease or something like that...wish I could remember exactly what the letters stand for. I do know that I could NEVER, with honesty or dignity refer to people who indulge in such perverse sexual behavior as - gay. Ever. It is too dishonest for words.

Language is another institution the homosexuals are killing with their perversion. Far from being "gay", homosexuals are in fact tortured souls who in their heart of hearts know they are sickos. So, "gay" should never be used, especially by conservatives, to describe a homosexual. To do so, plays into their game.

I have no problem if the Church had ordained gay celibate priests. Imagine trying to be celibate while living in a women's dormitory for seven years.
That's why Pope John XXIII said that homosexuals should not be allowed to enter the seminary.

God gave Adam and Eve a commandment to "multiply and replenish the earth." When did he rescind it?
Matthew 19:12 "For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it."
I don't know if this necessarily represents a rescinding of the command in Genesis, but it certainly indicates that celibacy is a gift for those able to receive it.
I also believe that temple priests were celibate, at least for certain periods of time.

I wonder, however, if that view -- one that ties together so closely proper human sexuality with baby making, a view devised principally by those who do not make babies -- is what keeps so many American Catholics from sharing their faith's official beliefs on the subject. Most Catholics practice contraception. Why? One reason is that most Catholics don't understand the reason for the Church's teaching, partly because the subject is rarely preached. Another reason is that Catholics can be selfish, just like everyone else. A new car or a new baby? Hmmm....
It's very sad when you think about it. Especially when you consider that God allows us to play a part in bringing eternal souls into the world. Or not. I wonder what He thinks of our excuses?

Very good metaphor. Seven years in a female dormitory, I could last a bit, but certainly not seven years, thank you, never really thought about that.
