LYNN CHENEY: EMBARRASSMENT OVER OZZY FUSS AT WHITE HOUSE DINNER

**Exclusive**

VP wife Lynn Cheney told associates she was "embarrassed" by the commotion surrounding thrash rocker/MTV star Ozzy Osbourne's appearance at this weekend White House Correspondence Dinner in Washington.

"He's hardly someone we should be applauding... not a role model, I am rather embarrassed," Cheney said after the dinner, according to sources.

Osbourne's presence at the Washington Hilton on Saturday night cause a complete sensation. The rocker's Tuesday show on MTV has become one of the most-watched shows on the air among teens.

Cheney has been an outspoken critic of rock and rap lyrics marketed to youth.

Last year Cheney took on rapper Eminem, calling his music "the most extreme example of rock lyrics used to demean women, rock lyrics used to advocate violence against women."

"The thing about Ozzy is, he's made a lot of big hit recordings: "Party With the Animals," "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath," "Face in Hell," "Black Skies'' and "Bloodbath in Paradise,'' President Bush joked in his speech before the association.

Osbourne lyrics include from "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath": "God knows as your dog knows; blast all of you. Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath, nothing more to do. Living just for dying, dying just for you."

In the 1983 song, Bark at the Moon, Osbourne recited : "Howling in shadows Living in a lunar spell He finds his heaven Spewing from the mouth of hell."

SevenofNine is a friend, and although her grammar isn't perfect, she has a kind heart and finds out excellent information from the Russian press and Los Angeles. I would like for those who are PERFECT writers to please remember that courtesy is just as important as grammar.

Also, this sounds to me like a gossipy stir-the-pot snipe from Drudge, and the quote is from an unnamed source, so I don't believe it is even true.

AND, I don't think there is anything wrong with laughing a little about Ozzie at the dinner. Greta van Sustern made a big deal about inviting him, no doubt thinking that it would get the Republicans all upset. At least Mr. Osbourne is still married to his wife, and is relatively harmless.

"After Forever", Black Sabbath:

Have you ever thought about your soul - can it be saved?
Or perhaps you think that when you're dead you just stay in your grave
Is God just a thought within your head or is he a part of you?
Is Christ just a name that you read in a book when you were in school?

When you think about death do you lose your breath or do you keep your cool?
Would you like to see the Pope on the end of a rope - do you think he's a fool?
Well I have seen the truth, yes I've seen the light and I've changed my ways
And I'll be prepared when you're lonely and scared at the end of our days

Could it be you're afraid of what your friends might say
If they knew you believe in God above?
They should realize before they criticize
That God is the only way to love

Is your mind so small that you have to fall
In with the pack wherever they run
Will you still sneer when death is near
And say they may as well worship the sun?

I think it was true it was people like you that crucified Christ
I think it is sad the opinion you had was the only one voiced
Will you be so sure when your day is near, say you don't believe?
You had the chance but you turned it down, now you can't retrieve

Perhaps you'll think before you say that God is dead and gone
Open your eyes, just realize that he's the one
The only one who can save you now from all this sin and hate
Or will you still jeer at all you hear? Yes! I think it's too late.

I'm going against Lynn Cheney on this one. It's great Ozzy was at the WH. He's so popular right now that kids need to see it's ok to be popular, in fashion and STILL support a Republican.

You think the morons actually read the lyrics? No, it's much easier to nod their heads in agreement with their pastor who says, "The title is Suicide Solution. Must mean suicide is ok!". They are too stupid to think on their own.

He should NOT be invited to the White House.

He WASN'T invited to the Whitehouse. He was invited to the Whitehouse Coorespondents Dinner. I really doubt he will ever be invited to the Whitehouse so hold your panties.

They'd ask for money while they were up there. And some of these tards would be more than happy to fork it over. ;-)

Sports Talk Show : Sportstalker Jim Rome calls his show "The Jungle". I have yet to receive confirmation that this is what 7of9 was referring to, but it seemed plausible.

It's an acquired taste, but I get a kick out of it. It certainly beats the heck out of the yahoos up-the-dial in DFW.

Thanks for this info. It *is* quite different than anything I've read on FR and takes time to read through and grasp certain meaning at times. Guess ya kinda have to 'be there' to truly appreciate it, huh? :o)

I need closed captioning to watch the show. I'm not deaf, but they speak some foreign language, not unlike the one in which SevenofNine writes.

I couldn't agree more, I thought that SevenofNine was OZzy there for a moment.

OZZIE IS THAT YOU? Are you a freeper?

It's actually quite entertaining, but the "f-ing" this and that gets tired.

At least they bleep it out, which I found surprising for that channel.

Barkley is a republican, though he is by no means conservatives, he does hate liberals and dems though, and the nasty venom he has for Jesse Jackson is just vicious. If any one who was white said what barkley's says about jackson, they'd probably be executed. Karl Malone is a big time repub and member of the NRA, he used to so advertisements for them saying "I am the NRA". Steve Young is mormon and devoutly religiously and very very conservative. (does't drink or smoke, no vices).

Denzel Washington is not by any means conservative. He just isn't a big time liberal and doesn't hate conservatives. He took some flak during the election because he didn't and wouldn't rip bush, as for the Rock. He did vote for Bush but he's a moderate, he will sometimes vote repub (i.e. the bush's) and also votes dems.
