I cannot, for the life of me, think why Bush would do this. We are fighting a war, young men in uniform are giving their lives for Freedom and the Shrub is at a dinner party living it up with the likes of Ozzy Osborne.

Are you mad that he was at a dinner party, or that Ozzy was there? Would it have been ok if he was yukking it up with Gordon Lightfoot?

You think it would have been better for Bush to have been the first president since before Calvin Coolidge to not have attended the dinner?

An awful lot of those young men in uniform probably own a few Ozzy albums and are just fine with it.

I don't fault Bush for being there, but I sure do have a problem with him hamming it up with regard to Osbourne. He didn't need to slam the guy from the platform, but did he have to address him? Sheesh!

"The Shrub"???? Well, it's obvious you are a DemocRAT.

First of all, Greta Van Sustren invited them to the dinner, not President Bush- read the article.

So, what have you been doing since 9/11? Just sitting in the corner of your room meditating and reflecting on the meaning of life. I imagine you have also gotten on with your life. Like the rest of us.

Do you people ever have ANY fun?

Ozzy Osbourne sure beats the heck out of dimwit, washed up, obnoxious Clinton shills (and Monica Lewinsky wanna-be's) like Barbara Streisand and Sheryl Crow.

Bush doesn't have any control over who is invited... Besides Osbourne likes Bush.

I completely agree with you. Bush made a fool of himself and Dick Cheney.

This is an annual dinner of the Press corps. It happens every year, and he was not at a dinner party living it up with Ozzy Osbourne. There are those on this forum who were even saying that Bush invited Osbourne, which is also not true.

Ozzy Osbourne and wife were the guests of Greta Van Susten. So he wasn't invited by the Bush Administration? But would Administration be required to o.k. all guests?

Life goes on during wars...and whatever this war on terrorism is, it's not anything like, say WWII, though I think it should be at this juncture...it's just not for now because of the political dynamics involved and the fact that the warrior enemy (Muslim Jihads) masks themselves as an "innocent" unassuming civilian and our friends.

Sure we took down the Taliban in Afghan. But from the list I saw, not a single Afghan was involved in 9-11. In fact, the list I saw of the terrorists involved were Saudi citizens. So no, I ain't convinced we've gotten to our true enemy yet.

Now come some here who are focused on Ozzie for his "profane" antics able to mingle with our president. Fact is, Ozzie is basically a harmless as well as honest human being. Meantime, the enemy lurks amongst us and has easy access to our shores.

Indeed, the gatekeepers are asleep at the wheel focused on some illusional enemy who can't seem to be found. Meantime, the real enemy from my point of view gets a free pass because he is some "Sheik with money and power." All the while his army kills our people and others around the world without every putting on a uniform...and then this sheik is able to go freely to Crawford Tx for talks with our President to tell him what he thinks he should do while no one complained.

Finally, since it was Saudis who flew those planes on 9-11, I'd say those Saudi shieks have some answerin and explainin to do. And for sure are more a threat to us than say Ozzie Osbourne.
