Posted on 05/04/2002 5:13:56 PM PDT by Hillary's Lovely Legs
The WHCA represents the White House press corps in its dealings with the administration on coverage-related issues.
A nine-member board of directors, elected by correspondents, addresses access to the chief executive; coverage arrangements; work space arrangements; logistics and costs for press travel to accompany a president on the road.
The WHCA also holds an annual dinner. The 2002 dinner will be held on May 4 at 9:30pm on C-Span. Drew Carey is the featured entertainment.

His "humor" is so heavy handed. He THINKS he's funny. Just has to be the center of his own attention. (I see the Thomasons' Hollywood scripting in his "dramatic" movie. Auditioning for a job?

It's not an event if there isn't a live thread.

There's Larry! LOL
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
Wow, ...this is my first!
Be kind! :-)
To: Right_in_Virginia
Okay. Here we go.

Ugh! I have to change the channel. Let me know when the 'toon is done. The coast is clear. It is live now, and just getting underway.

Dick Cheyney out of the cave tonight!

Does Cheney look like he's put on weight in his secret lair?

I've never seen Slick's 2000 "speech" at this dinner before.
Though I'll never be accused of being a Bush Cheerleader, I'm completely reviled by the fact that at the same time General Herpes was filming that cute montage about him having nothing to do, save for playing "Battleship" with a general - the epitaphs of 3000 Americans were quickly being written...

I thought the same thing, but it might be that vest under the tux.
To: Unknown Freeper
His show (and Rummy's) is among the reasons I resent working five days a week.
To: Unknown Freeper
Too bad the guests can't shut their traps long enough for us to hear about the Scholarship Winner.
To: hole_n_one
Thanks, hole, for always being on the job.
To: hole_n_one
One of Oliver Hardy's old suits, perhaps?
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
Did you hear the president tell that guy to tell the guests to be quiet?
To: looney tune
REALLY? I didn't recognize her in that shot at all. I guess I need to get that tape and start sweatin' with Christie!
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
Really! I keep hearing Dubya telling the presenters to ask people to be quiet!
