Joined by gubernatorial candidate Bill Simon, President Bush continued his trip on the left coast today as he spoke to a crowd in San Jose, CA regarding compassionate conservatism. Last night, Bush attended a fund raiser for Simon and raised $2.75 million dollars. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Thanks Rintense, Another great job. Caught only those parts of the speech that Rush played. But they were winners, and Rush was the biggest cheerleader. Rush was going on and on about the tremendous support that our W has. And what a great thing that is and how it will carry him so far with the people and we'll continue to give him wide latitude, yada, yada, like tell us something we DON'T know, Rush. Anyhow, it was like music to my ears.
I wish the blowhard congresscritters would wrap up their business at a decent hour so I could see our President here on the east coast before the ghastly hour of 12:30. But I'll wait up again, just like last night, and be greatly rewarded, I'm sure.
PS this is me tomorrow morning.

The genuine emotion is what gets me -- not that fake bite-my-lip, feel your pain act ! I still get teary-eyed myself when I remember the Oval Office press conference, right after Sept. 11th, when Pres. Bush started to break down, but he got it under control and left abrublty, it was such an intimate moment

Oh, let's review some of the accomplishements of Carter. I had forgotten someof them until he opened his mouth and I flashed back to the loathesome 70's:
Gave away the Panama Canal (that STILL makes me mad)
Undermined the Shah of Iran, giving rise to the radical Islamic state there today and starting the road to the war on terror
Failed to see that the Russians would go into Afghanistan, and was so SHOCKED that he cancelled our participation in the Olympics, giving rise to those horrrible Peace Games that Ted Turner sponsored
Gas shortages, poorly managed, so that there were lines to buy gas
In response to the oil embargo, had us turn off our CHRISTMAS LIGHTS, as well as freezing in our offices and factories
AND, after all this misery (leaving out the scandals of his brother and assorted goobers he took to DC with him), he had the nerve to get on national television and BLAME US FOR A NATIONAL MALAISE!!!!!!

I know there was some good in the book........but very little. I did not really learn anything new from it. And probably all but 5 pages (if you collected it together) was negative. It simply was not worth the hard earned money I paid for it. I saw Bruni on one of the talking heads and he made it sould like it was pro Bush. It was far from that. I don't like sifting through hundreds of pages of trash to get 5 pages of good material. The Book just isn't any good. That of course is my humble opinion which of course no cares about anyway!!!!! LOL!!!

I feel so badly for him and his family. I saw it .. my heart just went out to him
My youngest sister had a drug problem years ago .. we as a family went through alot and it was hard but in the end .. she FINALLY got her act together .. got married to a really nice guy ... bought a house and now has a baby due in October
Like I said .. it was hell but don't lose hope because there is light at the end of the tunnel

The Bush men are *real* men, imho.

You forgot the fact that Jimmy Carter gave birth to terrorism by giving them a world stage when he sat by and let the Iranians humiliate us.
Jimmy Carter was and still is CLUELESS

No...that was part of the list, right there where he undermined the Shah.
That treachery to the Shah was disgraceful. I am still mad about that as well.
AND I am mad about Carter even opening his mouth!! I am going to post that picture with the "Habitats for Hamas" quote whenever appropriate. HA!

Don't forget he used to wear the lovely yellow sweaters!!!
What a dip he was (and is).
