I once read that if you eliminate black males 15-35 (i.e. the drug dealin' yout's) from the stats, the US murder rate is well below Europe's.
We don't have a gun problem, or even a murder problem. We have a drug problem, but we don't seem to have a consensus on a solution.
IMNSHO, there are a number of constituencies which actually thrive on the drug problem. LE likes it, since it creates demand for their services. The big government types, left and right, like it, because it provides justification for them to take charge of the sheeple.
