President Bush headed to the left coast today with stops in New Mexico and California. Bush addressed a crowd at the University of New Mexico saying that he will work to pass federal mental health parity legislation to eliminate disparites in the coverage of mental health benefits. The President then headed to Los Angeles where he made several stops before attending a fund raiser this evening. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

a better idea would be to take away Democrats voting rights. They vote with stupidity anyway.

I was given a list of those people who voted Republican in the last two primaries. I usually go by my self between 4:00 and 6:00 pm It's still light and it catches most people before their evening activities. Since the above people are scattered. I must stop often and there is quite a bit of driving involved. WHen someone is home I introduce myself. (IN our community everyone knows me) give them some information about Chris, answer question or referr them to his web page.
Have had no bad experiences. Yesterday, went with the co-chair, who had only gone on blitzes to distribute information before. I enjoy talking with people. Particularly the older well informed ones. They know alot about what's happening and have good ideas. Many have been very appreciative that I've taken the time to inform them about the candidate. One lady told me yesterday. "I just hate it when they put out sign after sign and never tell us anything about the person."
SO hopefully I'm making a difference! I'm planting dafodils for my unborn grandchildren.

Wow - you certainly are! (making a difference!) Great lesson in hard work, basic, campaigning. WE all need to learn your lessons and take courage from them to go and do likewise! (But I would suggest most people go with a partner if possible).

THAnks for that post about the President's talk about his faith. He has to control what he says in public about that....but am glad when he makes references to how his life was changed by God's power and grace.

I'm very careful when I go where. Do not do lone country areas unless I know the neighbors or neighborhood. Since I 've worked in the public school for over 30 years, it does make it easier. Everyone knows or knows of me. Hit about twenty people tonight as a huge thunder storm moved in. Now am at home calling to get teens to pass out gum at the polls. One of the other people running is out spending our candidate about 8-1. Bill board, radio, etc. etc. We're just going door to door talking to people.. A poll finance by the other side said we're neck and neck so I'd better get to work!
