Our Friend and fellow Freeper Budge Rhae has had an accident. He fell at work Tuesday, and compressed his L-1 Vertebrae. I'm sure my dear friend won't mind me posting a part of his e-mail to me.
"I fell at work last Tuesday and now have a compressed vertebre(?) at L1. I have to wear a brace, use a walker, and I am as depressed as I have ever been. Can't even eat, feel like everything is going to stick in my throat."
Oue Budge is a dear dear friend to many here at FreeRepublic. He could use some prayers and encouragement. Years ago, I fractured L-1 and L-2. What he is going through isn't fun. And your prayers and words of friendship will be greatly appreciated.
Many of you probably know him from the many FR get-togethers.
I can only get one of my pics to post.. it is the one of Budge and JimRob. I have a really cool one of our handsome Budge with Dolly Kyle Browning, I'm going to keep trying to post that one. You can see what a doll face he is. Please Ping this to all who I have forgotten. I don't keep a Ping List.
I love you Budge.. hang tight my friend. Prayers are on the way. I've already started.... GOD BLESS YOU BUDGE,..AND MAY HE HEAL YOU QUICKLY, I ASK THIS IN HIS SON'S NAME, JESUS CHRIST!!

Funniest thing happened here yesterday, Robins have built a nest in the tree right outside our bedroom window, very solid nest, but the fork in the branch where it was located got whipped around in high winds, the nest started to tilt towards the ground, if you get close to a Robins nest, they will sound the alarm and buzz you..... my husband got a ladder out, climbed up, tied some wire around the nest so it was secure, the parents never said a word, they just watched from a distance, as soon as hubby had left the area, the parents were back, inspecting the work and was satisfied.

Hi Mary Ann,
I just had to tell you, you sound SO MUCH like my mom. She always told me how tough she was. I could almost hear her say it as I was reading your post.
Please let us know how you're doing when you get back from the doctor!! Prayers are being sent your way, and I know you're going to feel better fast!!
The chair is going to help me a LOT I'm sure, I was thinking about it tonight when I got home from work, and my lower back was bothering me. It's going to be a joy to be able to come home and sit in the chair if my back is hurting. I will post here the minute I get it and have a chance to try it out!!
Have a good night and get some rest.
NITERS!!
Willie

I have some sparrows that fill my mail box (on the side of the house) with nesting materials everytime I accidently leave it open.
I made a nesting box and put it up near the mail box with a note written on it ("birds, please nest here")
They took me up on the offer and now have a nest.

Hey Budge! You sound great. Glad your recovery is progressing so well. Look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Many, many thanks,
Maestro! Going to start to reply publicly to all my dear FReeper FRiends who have responded. It may take several days, but with this chair I can sit much longer at the computer now.
And to the lurkers who have read and said prayers I say "Thank you and God Bless you!"

I thought you all would like to know that I just talked to Budge this morning, and he told me that he had been up for two hours without the brace on (because he doesn't want to wake Rainy). Anyway, he told me, that without his FReeper Creeper, that would not be possible. Thank God for that chair!!
To: Internet Golfer
Whoa. Budge said the same thing. Amazing.
To: Budge
Well Budge, You did it to me again!!! Ya beat me to the post!! Oh well, something that wonderful
should be posted twice.

Get sweetpea to go to the Walmart and buy one of those wide elastic bands that people who lift heavy things all day. They really help alot. Then when you need a brace and don't want to wake her, you will be able to get some relief. I wear one most all my waking hours.

They took me up on the offer and now have a nest.LOL, Wonderful.
I swear birds have a lot more brain than we give them credit for, our Robins had come to the sundeck in the back, both of them sitting on the rail looking in to the diningroom........ I say the were looking for someone to save their nest........ thats my story, and I am sticking to it.
To: Budge
