I can admire some con men, at least those who do not rip off or harm innocent people. But con men like this guy, who pretend to be military heroes, make me want to puke. I hope this guy gets smacked down into the gutter where he came from. Unless there is a whole lot more to the story that nobody knows.

Send him to CNN for payment for Greta and her baggage.
By the way Fox you should be entitled to a little extra "to boot" for such an uneven swap when you got that overrated "don't know anything", boring, predictable female.

An honerable discharge as a PFC after 44 days of boot camp?Well, I went to Parris Island as a college grad and was a PFC upon graduation. I don't remember if boots are considered to have any rank, but if so, then maybe I was a PFC from day 1. And that could explain how a discharged boot could be discharged as a PFC. But I agree, the whole story makes no sense. Very weird.

On Friday he said he was doing crucial secret work, adding that he could not cooperate because of "national security." Okay, one last thing before I drop it entirely.
What do you want to bet that this "secret work" has something to do with energy?

What else would you expect from Fox News?Well, if you had read the article, they're now up there with the New York Times, who also has been decieved by a military imposter. Of course, "up there" may be "down there" to some people.....

Thanks, Dog Gone.
That indeed is where AmericanVictory and Mr. HC exposed my hidden agenda, and that of other shadowy persons.

It could be too that in his case PFC=Private Fraud Class
To: Reagan is King
This flim-flam man accepted salary and fees on false pretenses and easily and successfully could be sued for fraudulent inducement.
His former employers should put their money where their mouths are and sue the bastard back into the Stone Age from whence he slithered....

He may have received his PFC stripe after six months+ or so in the active reserve, as opposed to active duty, under the Army Reserve programs in place when he was but a lad....

Yes, you were definitely exposed on that thread. Shame on you for expressing doubts.

They meant boot camp in Parris Island right? Because there is no boot camp in Fort Dix. Oh wait..they meant "basic traning."

I'm happy you are still standing (and posting) after your illnesses. The fact that you got them at such a young age strongly indicates AO - or some other unknown crud you picked in that place at that time.
Best wishes

Yup. AmericanVictory and Mr. HC sure have the same pompous style for dealing with disagreement.
I once asked for some IV&V information on US-DAV's claims...and got a snotty answer for my trouble. Mr. HC's answer looked to be about the same as the one AV gave me.

I have to be honest, here. I think this is all pretty funny. Here you have all this brass and all these professional "news investigators",and this yahoo had them all believing in him.The was a roster kept on all the SF personell involved in the failed rescue attempt in Iran, and anybody even half-way in the "know" would have realized this. A simple phone call to the Pentagram by a news agency or retired flag officer would have quickly proven his name wasn't there,or anywhere else. It pretty much illustrates how much credence you can put in all their other "investigations",too.

Interesting. I'm always surprised at how con men like Cafasso can simply B.S. their way into network jobs and other hard-to-get positions with no background checks done by anyone, at least not for awhile. Here is a funny, but true story of something similiar. Remember Chuck Barris from "The Gong Show"? He was the originator, head writer, executive producer, and host. Know how he "sold" that show to the network (NBC,I THINK)executives? He found a list of the network board of directors, and put down a senior VP as his reference and uncle. Barris said people fell all over themselves to put his show on the air,and nobody ever discovered the deception.

LBJ became president even though he lied about winning a Silver Star. LBJ's story got more and more grandiose in the retelling. Eventually he had Doug McArthur pinning it on his chest. In fact it was purchased at some military store.

I think our fellow is, unfortunately, likely to be a poster here or at minimum a lurker. There are probably 50 lurkers for every poster on this forum. If someone wants the pulse beat of conservative America (and we are the majority ... the liberal media simply has the podium) there is no better source than FreeRepublic.
