President Bush spoke to the press late this afternoon from the Western Whitehouse, confirming reports that both Israel and Arafat have agreed on a way to end the stand off at Arafat's headequarters. Arafat has agreed to hand over six wanted terrorists to US and British officials while the Israelis have agreed to let Arafat free and to pull out of Ramallah. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Ohio, I heard Dick Morris(I know, I KNOW!) on C-Span 2 last night saying the most bizarre thing--about how the American people view Pres. Bush as SOLELY a warrior against terror. They trust him completely on that, but on very little else, according to Morris. He said poll after poll proves they don't want Bush to address ANY domestic tough & contentious issues, from Social Security to Energy to Environment to Budget, etc. They want only one thing from him--prosecute a terror war, thereby warding-off terror attacks. About their views domestically, they don't want Bush or Repubs trying to fix anything, they want Congress & the Democrats. They'd rather have a Clinton or Gore, if not for terrorism. As an admirer of his morality, leadership, character, personality etc. not to mention Laura--what is your take on Pres. Bush as a leader OVERALL for America(& in light of Morris's odd- sounding statements)??? I'm interested.....Really

What is Morris nuts .. sorry I totally disagree
You know I keep hearing on the left leaning shows how President Bush is not addressing the domestic issues and I keep thinking .. don't these losers watch their own News Station because when I turn on the TV, President Bush IS addressing these issues and tell Congress to get the ball rolling and start passing some good bills so that he can sign them

Yes, Mo1, he IS constantly addressing domestic issues! But Morris claims polls prove Americans DON'T WANT HIM TO! Why? Because they don't trust THE MAN or HIS PARTY on domestic issues--only on military & security issues. So they want Democrats & Congress to run the show on all but the terror war--they want Bush for that. And IF NOT FOR THIS WAR, they would rather a Clinton or Gore be Prez! Ohio sees God's hand choosing Bush to lead America OVERALL, not just in one aspect. So I want her take on this as well...

I saw a photo of Laura's father with her taken a number of years ago, and saw it recently, have been searching for it, but can't locate it. I think there's probably one in one of my books, so I could scan it. I'll try to.

Love that photo #365! Here's an interesting one I hadn't seen before, from the inauguration. Curious look on our new President's face, don't you think? Thank G-d we don't have that snake-oil salesman still in the WH!

Amazing photo #204! Actually I think the glare is directed right at BJ next to Gore, not at Gore! Oh, I'd love to hear what W says in private about that 'toon...

Too bad we didn't get to see the 'Poppy' side of Poppy when he was still in the White House. How could anyone NOT vote for a President of the United States who will lie down on the grass in his good suit and let puppies climb all over him!??You're right- maybe there should have been an FR and a "Daily Dose" back in those days. The pic is really cool- it shows how unpretentious and down-to-earth the Bush family is.
