Europe also wants access to American markets for municipal water and waste services.

Why? This area has absolutely NOTHING to do with trade or their countries whatsoever! Boy golly, if the government sells us out on this one, arms to China will seem minimal!

If USPS was run like the Bundespost, it would cost you a dollar to mail a letter 247 miles. It would cost two dollars to mail it out of the country, or 248 miles!

And the Deutschlanders don't handle complaints like the USPS. It's more like Samurai Hotel!

The real question is who is behind the EU?

Didn't Clinton proclaim to be "the self appointed ambassator to the EU?"
I'm sure he said it in jest, but...after hearing the speaches he's giving over there speaking on behalf of the US and how we should change....he sure gives me the creeps. He sounds like "The self-proclaimed King of the revived Roman Empire." Creepy!

Hey, foreigners would probably be a better risk for an SBA loan than Susan McDougal.

You are so right about strikes. Everytime my husband went TDY for the Air Force to England in the late 70's, 80's and early 90's it seemed the English postal system people were on strike.

Don't know who is backing the EU, but it brings back memories from Godfather III and the group in the Movie, El Mombliari (sp) which was out to control the world through financial markets, etc. Does make you wonder!

The real question is who is behind the EU?

All these NO WORLD ORDER rock heads are going to be heartbroken to discover Pat Buchanan pulling the EU strings. :)

I am admittedly a bit uneducated on the subject of the EU and our involvement in it. Can someone please explain to me what basis the EU has to make "demands" on the United States. What consequences will the US face if we do not bow to their demands?

Where have you been? SBA loans are frequently given to foreign nationals.

Shhhhh you're spoiling the conspiracy.

Creepy because the future Emoeror of the world does not, I repeat DOES NOT jest about such things. He and his Third Way buddies have been working hard on this for years.

It would be a lot simpler to just kick you out of the country or lock you up for interferring with our economy, no?

Well, the last time I read the Constitution, the government had the power to control commerce. I suggest you read it too and understand that protectionism does work.

I agree. It works. Works to put people out of jobs and cost consumers more. Not a path I choose to go down.
