While Paul supports open-borders immigration

I can't find that tidbit in the article. Are you sure Paul supports Open-borders immigration? Not just says we should welcome immigrants, but have open borders?

Remember, Ron is a past LP candidate for president. He would support open borders (I believe) in the context of complete elimination of the welfare state and complete elimination of any laws restricting freedom of association and commerce.

Without those caveats he'd say open borders was lunacy, as would any intelligent libertarian.

The welfare state, not immigration per se, is the real culprit behind many of the social ills attributed to immigration," Paul stated. "America should welcome immigrants from around the world who want to come to this country, work hard, and create a better life for themselves. The hardworking immigrants who built this nation before any welfare system existed truly exemplified American ideals.

Paul's statement above are a ringing endorsement of Bush's idiotic "open-borders" policy. Obviously, Paul does not support a "no borders" policy that Bush and Fox are flirting with and I think you are getting that confused with our current "open borders" policy. Fortunately, Paul clarifies his support of open borders with drastically cutting the welfare-state pro-immigration incentives which induce illegal immigrants from Mexico to come to America.
