Mardawi spoke enthusiastically about Israel's decision to send in infantry: "It was like hunting ... like being given a prize."

JERUSALEM (CNN) -- A senior member of Palestinian Islamic Jihad who surrendered to Israeli forces in Jenin described the battle as "a very hard fight" in which both sides took on casualties, but he said he didn't see "tens of people" killed by the Israeli army.

everyone should check out this link:

http://www.etherzone.com/2002/jenin.shtml

Aerial photographs of the Jenin camp, with zooms on the combat area. Puts it in perspective like no other pics i've seen.

Look at these pictures, and try to tell me it was a massacre.

What a pathetic, horrible world we live in, where the UN needs to send a 'team to investigate the massacre' over something like this, while thousands are actually massacred for real around the world, while no one gives a damn.

I mean, we landed on the moon a LONG LONG TIME AGO, yet most people still don't have the intelligence to see that they are being brainwashed to hate jews by endless propeganda, which is more commonly known as the international media.

I don't get it.

Hmmmm...I wonder if the "freepers" who spent so much time "documenting" the "atrocities" by Israel will take issue with Mardawi? They posted a lot of links without facts and called it truth...so I guess this guy who was actually there was lying. Or worse...the dreaded Israeli mind benders have brain washed him!!!

Actually, this was an accidental display of hubris by some of the folks at CNN.
They want to show that they, CNN, can actually prove there was a massacre...and that this
poor, traumatized terrorist is just confused. Besides, he's not a professionally-trained
journalist.

Actually, the Palestinian terrorists are just as funny as the Nazis.
They had most of the press (and a lot of the Western world) believing they were
massacred.

Now their hyper-macho-pride in killing will have them "spilling their guts"
to show they were the killing machines...and that those pansy-@ss Israeli soldiers can't push
them around!

Keep talking for the camera, terrorists! Good job!

Of course CNN would post this story. Another story was reported this morning on another news site that The Palestinians had reported thousands killed, civilians babies, women!! Not so says Israel, we took pictures of everything, and NO, yea NO civilians were killed. The film is there to prove it.

Mardawi said he and other Palestinian fighters had expected Israel to attack with planes and tanks. He spoke enthusiastically about Israel's decision to send in infantry.

"It was like hunting ... like being given a prize. I couldn't believe it when I saw the soldiers," he said. "The Israelis knew that any soldier who went into the camp like that was going to get killed."

Amen! But then again what do we expect from an organization that virtually ignores Muslim extremism and murder and genocide in places like Sudan, Sierra Leone and Indonesia while calling Zionism racism. Pathetic & horrible are excellent terms.

that this little weasel was a sellout, or tortured, or an
IDF plant all along, or traumatized by his daddy, yada, yada, yada ...

We'd all be better off if there fewer of these Philistinian freedom fighters around to bomb innocent civilians and provide a distraction from our real target - the spread of militant Islam worldwide through terror.

We need to investigate why the U.N. is only interested in investigating Palestinian lies about "massacres" that never happened, rather than investigating Arafat's terror network that intentionally slaughters Israeli civilians at every opportunity. The hypocricy stinks so bad. It is disgraceful that the U.S. supports this U.N. crap.

I hope he is being provided with extra security. The Palestinians will want to execute him for talking. I'm surprised that CNN would show his face and give his name.

Your title is utterly misleading and dishonest. He didn't say there was no massacre in Jenin. Here is the relevant passage:

Asked about the allegations of a massacre, Mardawi said, "By my own standard, what happened there was a massacre. But if you are asking, 'Did I see tens of people killed?' Frankly, no. In my group, we were in an area with no other people. Three fighters with me were killed. Later when we started to move from place to place, we saw destroyed houses and could smell bodies."

The relevant statement, in case you missed it, is this - "'Did I see tens of people killed?' Frankly, no."

Bulldozing houses does not a massacre make and no amount of lies told by Palestinians will change this. Where are the mass graves even the UN can't find? Where are the thousands of bodies nobody seems to be able to find (that is until Arafat has the chance to plant them). Fighters killed, that's a part of war. Don't play the game unless you're willing to die. Fighters being killed does not a massacre make.

I don't think this will get in the way of the UN making the determination they desire...
