I was so surprised to read this. To find it on the source link I give for the NYT, scroll down, and you will see what I've posted, above, appear in a box on the right side of the page, as part of another article.
I have also included Le Pen's web site for those who read French.
BTW, I do not support this guy, but I honestly think this election may be even more interesting that the media has led us to believe thus far.

Oh, this is VERY interesting, no question about it. And the lefties all over Europe and the States alike are having the same reaction. The two words that best allude to their state are "panties" and "bunch."

Dang, a lot of that sounds great.
This is about to get very interesting.

What struck me first is the following: Ireland outlaws abortion. No one says Ireland is a wacko right wing nut case country. And, his idea to pay women to STAY HOME and raise kids is what LIBERALS in this country have proposed...

I agree with everything in that platform except banning yarmulkes.
Does that make me an evil fascist bigot?

I think he should also force all French people to have a nice attitude. Nope, never happen. Ribbitt!

Looks like the French have some redeeming personalities after all. :)

Japan has already started doing it. Their replacement rate is nowhere near what it needs to be.

LOL...
All I can say is: now I understand why Chirac does not want to debate this guy -- some very fed-up voters (who do not think of themselves as supporting a party like the National Front) are going to LIKE this platform from Le Pen.

- Outlaw the wearing of yarmulkes and Muslim headscarves in schools. - End legal immigration.
I agree with everything listed except for the outlawing of yarmulkes and Muslim headscarves, and I support a 5-year moritorium on legal immigration. Everything else proposed by the French "fascist" seems rather obvious and logical to me. I guess it's just outdated nowadays to be a patriot in your own nation, and FAVOR your fellow citizens over illegal leeches.

From now on the French will surrender by e-mail.

There is no way French voters could want to "deport illegal immigrants and eliminate dual nationality". His strong showing was just a "protest vote". /sarcasm
