Couldn’t a former target of the IRS pressure Clinton exhibited sue Clinton and or the US for something like this?

O"Reilly could really boost his career suing Bill on this!

"...the IRS, which apparently leaked her confidential tax returns to the late New York Daily News reporter Lars Erik Nelson.

In a September 1997 column Nelson revealed details from Jones' filing to bolster claims that she was profiting from her sexual harassment lawsuit against Clinton.

In a subsequent interview with NewsMax.com's Carl Limbacher (then with the Washington Weekly), Nelson insisted somewhat implausibly that a "friend" of Jones had come across her tax return during a visit to her home and decided to go public with the secrets."

Speakng from experience, at least Lars Erik Nelson was good for one thing, if one hapened to find oneself out of toilet tissue, one of his columns would come in quite handy...

Remember the Nixon years, particularly his second term, and the unrelenting drumbeat of crticism from the liberal media. He (Nixon) was desparged unmercifully for even the slightest hint that he might unleash the IRS on his perceived enemies.
Clinton, on the other hand, was given a complete pass ... even though it was abundantly clear he was using the IRS to harass anyone crtical of him and his administration.

Another reason (as if we needed one) to disband the IRS. Since it's inception, this agency has been used to harass, intimidate, and enslave the American people. The wheel has turned and it's time for THEM to go.

As the Judicial Watch complaint notes, the Clinton IRS also went after organizations and even media companies it perceived as politically hostile, including:

Isn’t this illegal? If it is, why isn’t someone in jail?

"What do you expect when you sue the president?" senior IRS official Paul Breslan told Judicial Watch

Well, that all depends on what type of country this is.

Free countries wouldn't do anything.

Corrupt, oppressive countries on the other hand....

After Judicial Watch won the release of thousands of pages of documents from Vice President Dick Cheney's Energy Task Force last month, a badge-wearing IRS agent showed up at the group's offices.

Does anyone remember the incident wherein Clinton was in some campaign parade up north, and a couple shouted out that he was a murderer for sending our boys overseas to die? If I remember correctly, Clinton sent his aides back and the couple was arrested. It was later reported on Fox, (I think), that their home was being watched and they were being audited by the IRS. This sounded more like something that would have occurred in some third world dictatorial country, but it happened here.

Some active FReeper should write up a petition to Bush to replace Rossotti and we could all FReep it!!!

To say "What do you expect" is just unacceptable! We expect that the President of the United States would not be allowed to use the IRS against someone who disagreed with his policies that's what we expect!
The crimes of this man just mount up to the Heavens, or should I say down to the other place?
How dare he get away with this kind of retribution! I am just furious. I know I am a lowly citizen, but I don't expect a government agency to be allowed to be a hitman for a politician!

Didn't Sean Hannity say at one time he'd been targeted by the IRS while Clinton was in office?

"There were literally six witnesses in the room when Breslan told us we should have expected an audit," Judicial Watch Chairman Larry Klayman revealed to NewsMax.com. "Four of them were lawyers."

Oh well, so much for credibility. heh heh heh heh

To paraphrase Hume, if someone told me they saw a horse in a field in downstate Virginia, I would believe it as a matter of course; if someone told me they saw a zebra there, I would be skeptical and apply hard-nosed judgment about his reliability; if someone told me they saw a centaur there, I would reject the claim out of hand unless it was backed by far stronger evidence.

The notion that the Clinton Crime Cabal would sic the IRS on a vulnerable political opponenet falls squarely on the "horse" end of that spectrum.

I would like to know how Clinton got away with using a gov agency against its citizens. Is it illegal? Is there nothing to prevent it?

All the more reason to replace the income tax with a National Retail Sales Tax (NRST) and abolish the IRS.

With the NRST, there would be one less weapon for politicians to use against their enemies.

Click here for information about the National Retail Sales Tax.

We will never be a FRee country so long as we have an income tax and the IRS.

I don't want to be a "nay sayer" but this man has got his tracks covered. God bless those brave people that are trying to bring him to justice. They will recieve the Lord. As for Beelzbubba, we'll know of his judgement. We won't be seeing him playing golf in Heaven!

"Judgement is Mine, sayeth the Lord". I believe in that. Billy is going straight to the thing that sperned him, the devil, himself. Billy needs to get ready to burn, with his father, for eternity. Goodness and God wins again.........tuff stuff!

PS..to Billy: All that fire and brimstone will take those pesky nose hairs out of your life, forever!

"What do you expect when you sue the president?" senior IRS official Paul Breslan told Judicial Watch..."

What ever happened to the Right to Redress Our Grievances Against the Government and it's officials?

Has any environmentalist group, like the Sierra Club, or Natural Defense Fund, that sued the Federal Government ever had the pleasure of an IRS Audit?

Has Shakedown Specialist Jesse Jackson ever had an audit?

Did Clinton ever get audited for deducting his boxer shorts as charitable donations?
