[history]
On Wednesday, the Jerusalem-born actress objected tartly in the Harvard Crimson to law student Faisal Chaudhry's April 11 essay on U.S. policy concerning Israel and the Palestinians.
Portman continued: "Outrageous and untrue finger-pointing is a childish tactic that disregards the responsibility of all parties involved."

Nice to see that she is a straight shooter.

Why are many NE Christians knee-jerk liberals or 'milque-toast' moderates? The Irish became "part of the establishment" through lib politics, the Italians and Portuguese brought with them corrupt politics of their homelands, the Poles became hardcore trade unionists. Let's alsonot forget about the good Scandanavian Evangelicals in Minnesota. :-)
Of course, with more wealth and assimilation, many of the descendents of those settlers became selfish yuppies and soccer moms.

She was in Heat? I never even noticed that. Great movie too.
Was she Pacino's kid in the movie?

what lost me with her is her going on Rosie right after Phantom Menace saying how much she hated guns. Like me, she's grew up on Long Island, one of the most anti-gun regions of the country (Caroyn McCarthy represents my childhood congressional district). That is an important factor in her feelings toward firearms as well.

I hate Jean Reno in most English language movies, although he was PERFECT for the part in The Professional. I want that DVD!

The Irish became "part of the establishment" through lib politics Over in the Detroit area a few years back, some POS ran for office. He didn't campaign, since those that met him hated him. His name was O'Hara. He almost won.
In a non-partisan race, I'd have a good chance to win on my last name alone. In a partisan race, I think my last name would swing the vote as much as the gun issue.

Jar-Jar Binks. Did you HAVE to mentioned that name?

Anyone who'd like to know the oh-so-amazing secret about Natalie (which is publicly available all over the net anyway, and has been for years), should note that the link to Ms. "Portman's"
Crimson letter is located in the first post of
this thread.
Welcome to FR, where everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others.

I think you would be surpised how quickly those wells could be brought back on line. You think the people clearing away the debris from the WTC were motivated? Try to industrialized West after such an exchange. The good news would be that the Arabs were no longer around.

Portman is her grandmother's maiden name. She avoids revealing her real name so she can have more privacy.
