In the clear blue sky, a plane hits the tallest skyscraper in Italy -- and one of it's industrial icons -- and does damage nearly as bad as that of the jetliners in the World Trade Center.

This happens the very day a bomb goes off in a Milan government building.

Who says they "chose" that time? That's when the plane hit. We know nothing of their plans.

Today is still April 18 in the US. It is the evening of the 18th in Italy. Sunset, local time, in Mecca was at 6:41 PM. That began the next day according to the most ancient traditions in the area. The "next day" is, in the Western calendar, the 19th.

This is probably another Islamist act. The Number 19 played a prominent role.

Whether it means anything to us, it sure seems to mean something to them, eh?!

From the pictures provided here, it looks as if the plane came in level to do maximum damage to one floor. It is also square in the middle of the floor...

Terrorist? Nut? But it sure looks like it was on purpose. An accident would be at an angle, and wouldn't have hit center.

They just faxed me the surrender documents. I don't know whether to accept it or not - they also faxed them to the math/science division across the hall. I spoke with one of the professors from over there, and we're all kind of hoping they'll send them to the economics department instead.

MILAN (Reuters) - At least one person was killed after a small tourist plane hit a skyscraper in central Milan on Thursday, fire officials said.

Rescue workers said about 20 people had been taken to a nearby hospital. Witnesses said people ran out of the building with blood on their faces.
