Just reported that a small engine plane crashed into a Skyscraper in Milan Italy

Lord, bless the brave rescue workers climbing up the 25 stories to the crash site right now to rescue the people trapped inside the wreckage. Give the structure strength to hold until everyone can get and not futher endanger the people on the ground. Bless the people already on the ground that are hurt and give them healing stength..amen

You may be right - but someone with me said it was a body also. And from what I could see - it didn't flutter and had the outline of legs and arms BUT that might be wrong. The SOS call about mechanical problems was meant to throw off any possible air intercept which might have arisen because of a plane flying low in that air space.

Coming right after the new bin Laden video the motive is pretty obvious.

It's my opinion that this was not terror. It was 6 p.m. when it happened, it was a small plane. The building had
few folks there because of the time. The pilot SOS'd. I don't see a terror attack here. I see an accident.......just mho.......

Plane Hits Skyscraper in Milan

MILAN, Italy - A small tourism plane with only the pilot aboard crashed into a downtown skyscraper Thursday after sending an SOS, police said.

Police officer Celerissimo De Simone said that the pilot of the Piper aircraft had sent out a distress call at 5:50 p.m., just before the crash near Milan's main train station.

Smoke poured out of the 30-story building and there was no immediate word of any victims.

Police cordoned off the area as people gawked at the skinny skyscraper. At least one ambulance was dispatched.

In Rome, Senate President Marcello Pera said it appeared it was "most probably" a terrorist attack, but that word came moments before RAI state TV announced that the pilot had radioed a distress call. But Pera's spokesman said he had spoken with the Interior Minister and the crash didn't appear to be any kind of an attack.

White House press secretary Ari Fleischer (news - web sites) opened his lunchtime press briefing Thursday with this statement:

"The president just moments ago was informed about the incident in Milan. I have no additional information at all for you at this time. This is a breaking story and we don't have anything else beyond that — the president has been informed."

National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice (news - web sites) and White House chief of staff Andrew Card were the two who told Bush of the plane crash, Fleischer said.

"I think you can presume that we will be — if we are not already — in touch with Italian authorities and will ascertain precisely what the facts are," the spokesman said.

its not an accindent..what are the odds of a plane hitting the tallest building in the earea..my guess the SOS is just cover and more attacks may be planned..or just a crazy pilot

Italian TV reporting that pilot radioed in SOS. May have had possible engine problems. So much for Jihad!

No, such a call would be done to explain why the plane was off course so that its not intercepted. The radar boys would have been all over the plane if he didn't call. A pilot that could manage to call could manage to avoid the building.

However, if 911 had only been one plane we would have been told it was an accident.
