It's been 85 degrees here, and the AC in my car is broken!! I'm not supposed to need it in Ohio in April!!

93 degrees here today.....90 yesterday and 88 the day before. Seems like we've gone from winter to summer and missed out on spring.

This heat is a killer, isn't it? I should put on my AC so I can sleep, but it just seems so wrong in April.
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
I flew from southern FL to St. Louis yesterday, and it was hotter in St. Louis! My house was so hot when I got home last night, I had to go with AC, April or not!

Hey! We're not having a heat wave here in Utah...it snowed today and yesterday. Boo, hiss. Just waving hi, I'm still at work (an even bigger boo and hiss.)

Seems like we've gone from winter to summer and missed out on spring. We have, and I like spring!
Remember that we had a terrible ice storm a few weeks ago! I like 'light jacket' weather......cool evenings and warmish days. What's it going to be like in July?!

The forecast for North Western Minnesota for tomarrow, lows in the 20's, possible accumulation of 2 inches of snow.
Positive evidence of Global Cooling!

No whining, please. We hit 100 last week in Phoenix -- and it wasn't even a record.

OOoooh, is it supposed to get that cold in the Twin Cities?
That's where two of our kids live, and that will not make them happy!

Heat? Where? Sure as hell not here in western Washington. We've had even more rain than usual, and when we do get to see the sun it has been cool (daytime highs around 60). Can't say as though I'd trade for the heat this early. This may be the bad year for forest fires that they said last year would be.

It is not hot where I live in S. California. It is unseasonably cool.
I note we have been moved to "Chat". Is that an upgrade or a downgrade?

Refreshing!OOH those DO look regreshing! I'll just take a big old glass of iced tea!!
I mowed half of the back yard today and couldn't do the rest until the sun started going down because not only was it HOT it was as still as the grave! But a cold front came through about 8pm and cooled things down considerably. We had opened all the doors and windows early in the day to get SOME air moving through, but had to close them when it got dark because it got cool so fast!
It has been in the mid to high 80s here in MA the last two days. It is supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow which is good because I have to reseed my front lawn. DAMN GRUBS! Apparently all over this area folks are having to fix their yards; last year was a BAD year for infestation. The worst part is not the reseeding; the worst is you have to drag off all the old dead grass before you can put the grub killer and the new seed down. Now THAT is a back killer! I did that in the front over the weekend, but I'm gonna let the back yard go without the super cleanup; no one sees it but us anyway! I'll kill the grubs and put some new seed down, but not as fancy as the front.

I note we have been moved to "Chat". Surely we deserve our own category. "Chat" simply isn't the proper term.

This was going to be the best year for my magnolia tree. I have a gorgeous tree in front of my front door and it has been covered in buds. It bloomed yesterday in the 83 degree heat and today the blooms are falling. It smells like cinnamon, but usually it lasts a week or so. I will be lucky if anything is left for the weekend.
I guess I better fertilize my azeleas and other flowering bushes tomorrow. My Forsythia is also blooming in brilliant yellows in my back yard and it looks like the hydrangeas are going to be bountiful as well.

It has been hot and humid in Chicago, too. It is just wrong when it is warmer in Chicago then it is in Las Vegas. We finally caved in an put the AC on today. I couldn't bring myself to turn it on either, but sleeping in this weather is so difficult.

We finally caved in an put the AC on today. I couldn't bring myself to turn it on either, but sleeping in this weather is so difficult. It got so hot in my house today that the kids went to the basement to do their 'schoolwork'. It was MUCH cooler down there. Sir SuziQ felt so sorry for us when he got home from work that he put the A/C in the dining room window in case it gets hot again tomorrow. Of course, as soon as he put it in a cold front came through! But we'll be ready when it gets hot again!!
