Really sorry to hear this. I helped customize an automobile for him in the late 70's early 80's. He was a great client, and we had a few laughs.

He was good as Jake Spoon, wasn't he?

Spenser for Hire was one of my all time favorite television detective shows .... Robert Urich was a very fine actor. You are also correct about Avery Brooks' role a 'Hawk' which gave the show its cutting edge.
Sorry to hear Robert Urich has passed away and I will pray for him and his family.

Have you seen Alec Baldwin lately? He looks 20 years older, thirty pounds heavier, and gray. I would say that Dorian Gray scenario is reversing. All that ugly behavior and comment is expressing itself in his appearance.

I remember how they introduced the TV viewing public to Robert Urich as Dan Tana. It was at the end of a "Charlie's Angels" episode, before his show aired.

ce Pirates - one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I agree! That movie was sooooooo bad, it was outrageously funny
I agree also. The scene where they go through a time warp and everyone ages is one of the funniest scenes ever put on film I think. Just hilarious.

Bummer... I'd trade one Urich for a dozen Baldwins any day. Ouch! Just to think there could BE a dozen Baldwins makes my skin crawl...

Yes, it is a shame....I always liked him, thought he was a decent man. I also thought he had beat the cancer; maybe he was dealing with two types of cancer. Didn't he undergo radiation and chemotherapy a few years ago? For some reason, I remember him being featured in a People Magazine article, and he was bald.
Well, they say that these actors die in 3's, who's next?

Oh, I know...there's Billy, and Alec and his other brother. Ick.
Did you hear that the Florida GOP handed out copies of a $70 one way Greyhound Bus ticket they bought for Alec Baldwin to Toronto, Canada? ROFLOL!!! They said that, "We just want to help him fulfill his promise he made that he would leave the country if GWB was elected President." HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! ;-)

"Excuse me, but didn't he play some sort of Communist in that film "Amerika"? "No, he played an American fighter pilot that was shot down.

On further thought. . . You are right. I was thinking of the movie "Red Dawn". I'm not sure if he played that part at all now.

Powers Boothe played the shot down pilot in "Red Dawn"...another great flick. Still watch that one.
