HILLARY CLINTON signs LETTER to PRESIDENT BUSH
www.clinton.senate.gov ^ | April12, 2002 | Hillary Clinton

April 12, 2002

Dear Mr. President:

We write out of deep concern over your response to the recent events in the Middle East. While we appreciate the importance of sending Secretary of State Colin Powell to the region, we are troubled by certain developments that have occurred during his trip. By urging the resumption of negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA), before the PA officially abandons their policy of suicide homicides against civilian populations, you have dramatically changed your steadfast policy towards not meeting with Chairman Arafat until he commits to a cease?fire.

As long as Arafat continues to support and fund terrorists, it is difficult to conceive that any progress can be made from meeting with him. Most worrisome, a meeting between Secretary Powell and Chairman Arafat in light of today's attack in Jerusalem validates the contention that Arafat is gaining ground through his strategy of terror.

If Secretary Powell meets with Chairman Arafat, we hope that the Secretary will make it clear that this is his final opportunity. In the past, Mr. Arafat has proven himself to be unreliable in following up with commitments to peace. Consequently, we believe that Secretary Powell should demand that Mr. Arafat act to eradicate the terrorist networks operating under his authority. Secretary Powell should make clear that if he does not comply, the United States will sever all ties with him.

Finally, we are dismayed by the pressure on Israel to withdraw from Palestinian towns before the Israeli military has had a chance to complete its operations. As the United States knows from its experience in Afghanistan, an operation of this kind takes time. If Israel is not allowed to complete its campaign, more Israeli lives will be vulnerable to future rounds of suicide bombings. If there is to be peace, Israel needs to isolate those elements of the Palestinian Authority that threaten its existence.

Thank you for your attention to our concerns. We look forward to your response.

Sincerely,

Charles E. Schumer
Hillary Rodham Clinton
Susan Collins
Gordon Smith
Jon Corzine

Her original thought was "F***** JEW B*******'S!!!!" but that is not the political thing to say.

LMFAO Laz! That is pretty much what I thought reading this. Politics with Hillary and company is not about morals, values, or truth and justice...it is about pinning your opponent down with whatever manipulated following you can muster.

Even though I agree with the contents of the letter, I would not put my voice up in support of the cretins who wrote and signed it.

You may be on to something. Maybe that is why Arafat appears to be losing it. After 8 years of being babied by the Clinton's, maybe Arabfat just couldn't stand it when President Bush, a real man, refused to acknowledge the Arab-brat.

I never bet against a Clinton anymore. They have fooled me too many times. I said Bill Clinton would never get elected President, I then said that he would never get elected the second time, I also said that Hillary would never get elected in New York. Do you see a pattern here? NOT GOOD! Somehow they ALWAYS seem to get what they want. If Hillary decides to run for President I will be more than a little worried. I will work my rear off to keep that from happening but I'm only one person. After having watched the "tough" New York media promote and endorse her to the hilt nothing would surprise me. There are still too many stupid people out there who would vote for her. GAG!

What I said about her becoming our dictator if she ever got elected President still stands.

Reasons for Clinton's play:

1. Team Hillary smells an opportunity to play off loyalities and issues in the American Jewish community. They are attempting to paint the President as being against the interests of the Jews.

2. Hillary's donor pool is unlikely to ever include Arab-American or Muslim interests.

3. She is trying to fester and foment public opinion against the leadership of the President. Any propaganda used to limit the ability of the President to mobilize unity and response to terrorism is useful.

4. Any attempt to paint Senator Clinton as a "leader" is good for her self-identity. So, she sends a letter out to act like she has leadership ability.

If Senator Clinton had REAL leadership abilities, she would have had the ovaries to divorce her husband.

I can not believe I am in agreement with her. I think this is the first time. What is happening?

Duh. Read your screen name. What is wrong with people not realizing who Hillary is?

Does Hillary REALLY believe one letter can erase the decades-long imprint of Arafat's rump on her lips????

I'd never stand shoulder to shoulder with her,

No one can stand "shoulder to soulder" with her - you can't get past her hips.

I'd like to point out, once again the total dishonestly of this despicable woman carpetbagger from Chicago. It was she and Bill who were busy sucking up to Arafat and his boy george look alike wife. It was this harridan who first referred to The Palistine as The Palistinian State and it was these two felons who took money from Arab Charities who were funding terrorists. I'll bet there was large graft going on behind the scenes, like the travelers checks amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars Roger the Dodger brought back to Billy from his trips to the Middle East and Africa. She really is the left over face of evil.

What is hillary's motive.... Very obvious, Jewish American votes.

More like Jewish-American MONEY. The Arab well has dried up after September 11th, and the Puerto Rican terrorists her husband pardoned aren't flush at the moment.

Didn't she call Dick Morris an effn' Jew?

Her words do not fool me. I know who she is and what she stands for.

Why is Hillary siding against negotiations with Arafat?

It's called "being the junior Senator from New York."

The first two signatures on the letter represent the Demo ticket for 2004. But not in that order. (Schumer, Clinton)

>Just because she pretends like she doesn't for a few minutes, that should not fool you...
>She just wants to look good. Besides, it's still so difficult to take her seriously in a public office, doncha think?

Heck, I agree with both you guys.

BUT--

This is politics we're talking about.

I've gotten over expecting any politician to believe in anything. I've gotten over expecting any politician to do something because it's the right thing to do.

If Hillary is willing to do and say the right things, then I just don't care if she's doing it to shame Bush, or doing it to steal votes, or doing it because someone's blackmailing her some way.

Heck -- again -- Bush says the right things and seems to believe in the right things and yet what he does seems to be forcing the Jews into a death and destruction.

(You know, it's like that old situation where some beautiful girl says, Okay, if it's so important to you, I'll let you make love to me, but I won't participate at all, I'm just going to lie there... At some point in a guy's life, he learns to say, Heck, that's good enough for me... and jumps aboard... In politics, I just want the politicians to do what's right. I assume that, behind their eyes, there are insects and reptiles crawling around. But if they do what's right, that's enough...)
