Seenenuf gathered the troops and descended on Badjoe & Willa's house for a barbeque feast and Freep Fest. Attending were seenenuf, Badjoe, WillaJohns, Diotima, dalereed, SoAmerRepublican, NYCityGal, OC-Flyfish, Texican and Mrs. Texican, Ernest-at-the-Beach, Khorkris, VeggieTodd, LedZep75, Pam, a lurker, Dr. Liberty, and Kevin.
This was the first Orange County Chapter get-together in a year. We talked, we ate, we freeped, we talked some more, we made new friends, and decided we're going to do it again July 13. In the interim, we discussed becoming an activism chapter, talked about Simon's upcoming election and showing up at his Orange County appearance to support him, and Freeping Gray (Lights Out) Davis when he comes to Orange County.
All attending Freepers went home with collector's item March for Justice T-shirts, Badjoe's foldable FreeRepublic.com pocket beer can cozies, a copy of "The Mainspring of Human Progress," Free Republic bumperstickers, American flag bumperstickers, cigarette lighters and cigars [for all who wanted them].
Seenenuf is the new chapter leader and has taken the bull by the horns and is bound and determined to see to it that we have a successful rabblerousing chapter. Seenenuf's dog is almost famous, he was on TV during impeachment with his "Buddy is a Liar" T-shirt. She also filled up a couple petitions for Ward Connelly's California proposition to eliminate race checking on State matters.
All you Orange County Freepers and Lurkers missed a great party and a great bunch of patriots. Please mark your calendars for the next party, which will be held July 13 at Badjoe and WillaJohns's home. [Badjoe is threatening to put a contract out on any who don't show up next time.]
In the interim, before the next party (July 13, mark your calendars, did I already mention that?), we expect to be participating in a few quick freeps. If you are not on the Orange County Chapter roster, please freepmail seenenuf or email her at jbusch@fea.net.
LOL!!!!
Kevin and I really enjoyed meeting everyone and seeing the awesome FreeRepublic Command Center Viewing room!
Great food, gifts, and of course great Freepers!
We can't wait until the next Orange County Freeper party!
(I'd offer my place, but it's just a crummy apartment)
It is great that you all met, and had a good time. Sorry I couldn't make it, due to work schedule, but I do hope to attend a future get-together (since I reside in beautiful HB, too--that makes it easy). Please keep me on the notice list. Best regards to ALL OC FreeRepublic folks.
Ps. Anybody wishing to get Real Estate assistance in Orange County (and Southeast LA county) don't hesitate to contact me by FR mail. Sellers and buyers will receive plain old fashioned, honest representation and first class service; complete with the latest technology & tools.
Great to meet the nice folks...see ya soon.
From the days of being a lone voice in the wilderness to now having a great Freeper family, is a most magnificent change in my life.
And I am grateful you took the time and were able to fix the PGP problem on my new 'puter'.
See ya' next time or sooner if I get another 'puter' screw up. : )
Willa, hope you got the pix I sent.
Thank you! It was so GREAT to finally meet you, and Kevin, too. The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree, does it? (It just gets taller.)
Let's keep our eyes open for an opportunity to freep Gray (Lights Out) Davis soon.
Oh my goodness, apologies galore. Please mark your calendar for July 13, as you are cordially invited. SoAmerRepublican and I, as we walked her out to her car after the Freep Meet, were discussing your absence and our neglect. You MUST come to the next one! We plan to have a quick and easy way for everyone to help Simon beat Gray (Lights Out) Davis at that time.
