Hope you guys don't mind the pictures. I know some of you out there have not seen the skyline of NY with the lights on and I figured the rest of the Freepers in the rest of the country as well as NY would like to see them this one last time and get an idea what they look like from Brooklyn.

Thank you for remembering and posting such a beautiful thoughtful tribute to the memory of what was and will never be again.

Thank you for the pictures. We saw the lights when we went on the Hoboken Ferry Sat. night. We also saw the hundreds of tributes at Ground Zero with so many other people who were there to pay their respects. A very moving experience...

WOW! Thanks for posting these! What beautiful shots. I'm using one very much like yours for my wallpaper. There are just beautiful...bet there are a lot of families in NY who would love to have a copy of these. Perhaps you could email a few to the major newspapers....

Cacique, these are outstanding!! Do you still need a ride down?

I saw the lights at night walking down 6th Ave heading towards Penn Station.
I was also amazed by the huge light all the way at the top.
How did they do that? Does light all gather at the top? Clearly I am not an electrical wiz but it was awesome to see live.

I have not read throught this entire thread yet...but the Empire State is red white and blue. Was it like that the whole week or just night you went?
That picture right after dusk is my favorite of your series.
If you can gather prints of each of them in order and put them in one of those frames where the pictures ascend from top to bottom you could make a pretty penny hawking your wares in Time Square. They are beautiful.
