Wow, I am totally amazed! Last week, peaceniks and people who hated Israel crawled out of the woodwork and we thought maybe it was a one time thing. Nope! This week all of those guys plus maybe more showed up. There had to be at least one hundred of them on the corner of Shaw and Blackstone in Fresno tonight. As I drove up and saw all of these anti-Americans who are aiding and abetting the enemy standing on all four corners of the intersection, my heart just sank. The eleven of us patriots and FReepers who could attend tonight tried to be seen and heard among all of these pro-terrorists, but I have to say that these people are the rudest creatures I have ever seen! They have no qualms at all about walking in front of you and covering your sign with theirs so that those driving by can't see that you are even there. I am amazed by their audacity! We were relentless though and held our own.

I told this one persistant guy that he was the rudest person I have ever come across and when he answered "I love that", I asked him if he knew what that word meant, had he learned the word rude yet? He had no answer to that. I think he truly didn't understand the language.

One interesting thing that happened tonight was that a truck driven by a typical Fresno red-neck slowed down as they rounded the corner and the driver leaned out his window and yelled some choice words at the peaceniks with whom we were sharing our corner. The "peace"niks threw down their signs and jumped in their car, intending to follow this man. I kind of hope they caught up with him and that the fellow showed the peaceniks some Fresno "hospitality". LOL!

Senorita noticed that the motorists driving by were a little uncomfortable honking to show their support for our cause because quite a few peaceniks were helping themselves to our corner, so she decided to cross the street with the lights and show her signs to the cars facing her. She crossed the Shaw halfway and then came back to FReeper Island. Then she would do the same thing on Blackstone. She said that the "peaceful and loving" demonstrators across the street weren't as "peaceful and loving" as they would have us believe.

All in all, it was a great FReep. However, all of us had a hard time believing the change in atmosphere and attitude that has come over our intersection these last two weeks (until 6:30 that is when these peaceniks punch their time clocks and go home). Then Fresno immediately turns back into the old familiar town that we know and love. People begin to honk like mad at us when they drive by as they usually do.

As has happened the last two weeks at around 6:30 (just as the other side packs up and goes home), the police shooed us off of FReeper Island and back to the corner (where we can't be seen nearly as well). The difference this week is that their car sat across the street from us during the whole rally but didn't say a word until the peaceniks had called it a night. It seems rather funny to me that this only happens when the other side has left. Last week the police said that they didn't feel comfortable with us being out on the island after it gets dark. Due to the recent time change, it wasn't even close to dark when they told us to get back to the corner. Hm......

Last night was very exhausting ..... trying to out-rude the rudest people in Fresno to hold your 2 square feet of concrete leaves us just wanting to get some rest. Many of us did not join Jim, Sheila and Chris for dinner last night; we just wanted to get home. My Friend Ann was unable to join us last night so the cookies came from a bakery (sorry). We really missed her and gracie1 last night. Also missing was jkphoto and Mama_Bear, as well as notpoliticallycorewrecked and Fresno Army Brat.
Uncle Sam was a big hit, we received many smiles and comments and honks from the sign he was holding.
It was interesting to see the motorists making eye contact with one of us and giving us the thumbs up before honking their horns. The pro-terrorists would very much like to estabish a dialogue with us but we let them know we are not interested in wasting our time with them. They probably dislike us almost as much as we dislike them. They are rude, arrogant and are mean-spirited. Two of them were talking loud enough to make sure we heard them as they stated the only reason we were getting any honks was because we had a sign saying honk for the troops. It drives them crazy that we get support from the motorists.
These people do not seem to realize that we are living in America, not some muslim country.

You guys -- I have tears rolling down my cheeks from reading, and seeing, how terribly those "loving and caring" Peaceniks treated you while outnumbering you so overwhelmingly, and yet you stood your ground and gave 'em what-for! I just love you all!

Until I have my brain surgery, I cannot fly (cabin pressure is a no-no), but after last Thursday's surgery, I can send you my new teeth! They know me well enough to yell for me! ROFL! (I can't use 'em yet; too much swelling and stuff still.)

I sooooo want to be there to help you guys deal with those bozos! Maybe I'll get a full-length photo of me, have it blown up, and send it to you along with "my" sign! *VBG*

Yes. The same gentleman brought his son again this week. They did not stay long but he did have quite a discussion with the pro-terrorists. Their discussions became quite heated at times.
