JENIN, West Bank, April 10 (Reuters) - A senior Palestinian
militant at Jenin refugee camp said on Wednesday Palestinian
gunmen surrounded by Israeli soldiers had stopped fighting.
"The battle is over. There are a large number of martyrs.
Many have been arrested. The Israelis are in total control and
there is no more fighting," Jamal Abu al-Haija, a senior
official from the Islamic militant group Hamas, told Reuters.
The Israeli army had no immediate comment on the report of
an end to the fighting, which has been the fiercest in the
13-day-old Israeli military offensive on the West Bank.
Abu al-Haija, speaking by telephone from inside the camp,
said Palestinian fighters were surrounded by soldiers and
armoured vehicles.
Witnesses in the area said troops were calling on people to
leave their homes and razing the houses with bulldozers. They
said tank and gun fire had been heard earlier on Wednesday but
had stopped around mid-morning.

Witnesses in the area said troops were calling on people to leave their homes and razing the houses with bulldozers. I doubt it; but they should. They should also smash every vehicle, bus, motorcycle, and bicycle these demons own to slow down their suicide bomber travels. Let them walk.

You're right. I wouldn't trust folks like Jamal as far as I could throw them.

I hope the Israeli policy is to destroy Jenin to the ground, leaving not one stone piled on another stone, as a monument to the stupidity of the Palestinian policy of hmicide bombers. If would-be bombers and their families have to choose between their cash rewards and the destruction of their entire city, perhaps the answer to the murderous equation will change. Leave them no streets to "celebrate" in, and no population to "celebrate."

Maybe the Palestinians will looks around after this is over and decide that it wasn't worth starting. Maybe, but somehow I don't think so.
Military victory for the Israelis would have to include Syria, Egypt, Iraq and Iran. Until that happens, no amount of distruction in the West Bank is going to bring secure borders.

I say that the PLO needs more martyrs. Never leave an enemy alive when you can kill him.

"every vehicle, bus, motorcycle, and bicycle these demons own" .... was stolen from Israel.
Car Theft in Israel
Notice how the trend accelerates from 1993 when the Palestinian Authority provided a safe haven for stolen vehicles. Recovered has stayed constant because these vehicles remained in Israel. Unrecovered finished up with Arafat who licenses thieves and takes a cut.

Nice work. Yet another interesting facet of the scum-like life form called Arafat.

Thanks for your #12. That explains something I've been wondering about--which is how people who spend 24 hours a day trying to come up with innovative ways to kill themselves and innocents could ever afford cars--or anything else, for that matter.
