Anton Salman said his cousin was a familiar sight to many Bethlehem residents accustomed to seeing him make his way, back slightly bent, across the square to the ancient church, built above the site where Christians believe Jesus was born.

C'mon people.

These pro-Muslim Reuters goons are trying to squeeze out some venomous anti-Israeli sentiment from mush-headed American readers by turning these little Intifada episodes into homespun versions of Disney flics.

And the sentimentalists are sopping them up like sugar-ants on puddles of honey.

Congratulations. You are the first person to take the hook re: my subtle joke.

You are either very astute, have too much time on your hands, or both.

In answer to your question: No, do you??

BTW, my statement: "The bastards probably shot Salman because they couldn't spell "Quasimoto" clearly is a non-sequitor and makes absolutely no sense.... 8~)

More and more, it's possible the better part is to rip free from Uncle Sam's leeching and go stand tall with the truly brave on some bridge in Serbia ... waiting for Clean Hands from the Sky to target the bullseye shielding a broken heart.

Oh my - you are the drama queen of the ages, unless the original retired.

You (and others) are so right.

I am taking all of this internecine fighting among the Jews and their Arab next of kin a little too seriously. After all, reading the Old Testament or the Koran, God is not always the most forgiving sort and slaughters with impunity himself -- simply to "send a message", even. You heard about what he had Abraham do to his own son, didn't you? I'll bet Freud would have had something to say about that if he weren't go caught up in masking his own incestuous sex life by taking his Oedipus complex mainstream.

Perhaps a little medication to dull Me-the-Machine or celebration of my right to Free Speech with some moderately priced or FREE internet sexual stimuli is in order. What's our latest option for "Reality Television" here in America, anyway? Did I miss Temptation Island? Have we moved on to televised human cannibalism yet or are we keeping that relegated as yet to our abortuaries and both Presidential and private laboratories of "Hopeful Research"?

If only I had the credit sufficient for a truly meaningful "KEEP SPENDING" spree of patriotism. (Without the Debt it just doesn't matter ... or so say the psuedo-Public Servant Sorts at The Fed.)

I'd work on my flag-waving but since even the likes of Hackworth have pegged our misting of Muslims in Afghanistan as Round One of at least Thirty, I'm thinking I ought to pace myself.

(Though I stand ready to pull out the stops, believe you me, if ever Congress ever actually declares a war again instead of just supporting the troops by KITING CHECKS to Brown & Root, Halliburton and the rest of those who were on hand to throw the New NATO its '99 birthday bash in a desolate DC.)

You know, Pardek ... if Britney's manager were on top of things, he'd be booking her right now for a USO "Oops, we win it again" roadshow to carry her through at least age 70. (Assuming she's made of the same stuff as Chris Owens ... which I suspect increasingly will be the case.)

(No offense meant to the gracious Miss Owens who probably does know who Tony Blair is ... unlike Britney or the vast majority of her Clueless generation whose rampant materialism -- coupled with their folks' forking over some serious tax monies -- helps us keep others armed to the teeth when we aren't twisting their arms with Aid of one sort or another.)

Please e-mail Alan Keyes to alert him to the fact that he should never join the GOP.

Rumor has it that he's already a member (though I do not believe the gossip that he endorsed Bush), but I do not buy it.

I don't see what your problem is on that score. He supports -- in large part -- the Drug War, the War on Terrorism and Israel.

Just because I agree with certain things he says ...

His observation at the FR Treason rally in the wake of Clinton's "moral war" comes to mind:

And then, we got to the American flag, which was quite close [and he asked] "if that's the bad guys, what does that one represent?" I said, "Well, that one represents the good guys – that's us." But, you know something my friends, if we keep going the way we're going, persisting in the path that we have persisted in … then we, the very country that more than once in this century has saved the world from the shadow of the worst evils will no longer be there in the 21st Century to save the world from the shadow of evil.

And worse than that … we won't save the world from that shadow because we will be casting it.

We don't get it, do we? We are either going to continue to be the country that holds before the world those ideas and standards of godly justice and liberty and decency for which so many of our patriots died or we are going to turn into that power which plunges the world into a maelstrom of evil like nothing we have ever seen.

Doesn't mean I agree with EVERYTHING the man has to say. Although not as obvious as mine with other so-called Catholics, you'll see a certain division even where the Church is concerned on issues like capital punishment.

He supports the bombing off Afghanistan (perhaps I'm misinformed, I'd appreciate a link that said otherwise). That's 3000 dead (according to the folks whose claims are sacrosant IYHO).

Is he Pro-Life or Anti-Abortion?

They shot their way in and took hostages...

Ah. I didn't know that. I thought they'd come into the church and requested sanctuary...you know, the old fashioned way. I would've supported that.
