This topic was debated on Special Report with Brit Hume tonight on Fox News. The panel agreed unanimously that if Israel pulls out and meets with Powell and agrees to abide by the U.S. plan, and the suicide bombings start again all of it is off the table until Arafat is gone for good.
When asked how many suicide bombings it would take to cause this action they agreed again that the magic number was one. One suicide bombing after the Israeli troops pulled out and Israel was going to get the go ahead to either arrest or expell Arafat.

That is what I would hope and expect -- that if the escalation of violence continues so will the the consequences, not letting the same things repeat over and over. It is simple enough to say that while the Israeli's have been conducting their crackdown, the bombings have subsided, but they cannot stay forever. There has to be some compassion and fairness to the innocent civilians on both sides.

Thank you for your posts in this thread, they've helped calm me a bit.
I must add to this one that boy am I sick of Arafat's chances. Seems like he gets a lot of "stop or I'll say stop again...no we really mean it this time." I hope Brit's panel is right, because there WILL be another suicide bombing.
