Bush aint God. Theres plenty things the Good Lord done to Isreal.. but me you and Bush hadnt better try and pick up that cat.

I expected this response. Who ever said Bush was God?
My point was that one cannot presume every disagreement with Israel is therefore opposition to God...because in fact God has expressed disagreement with Israel throughout the Bible.
In the New Testament the apostles disagreed with many things the Pharisees and Jewish leaders stood for. I don't think God condemned the apostle Paul or other NT Christians for this.
The idea that because Bush dares disagree with Israel on anything, that therefore God will condemn Him is simpled minded and not supported by scripture.

You're right. And I liked the earlier hands off policy much better than the current "we are the walking apostles of hope peacemakers" policy.

One thing gets heeped on another today. I actually thought yesterday that Bush's seeming inaction was a good thing and was giving Sharon the go-ahead. When I saw the american polls showing strong american support for Israel last night, I felt even better. But the speech this morning and now this UN crap totally does me in. Perception is everything to the regular citizen in every country. They don't know strategy and behind the scenes and now all they see is the american double standard regarding terrorism. We no longer have any moral standing in the world and we have publicly left Israel out in the cold. The blood of the next victims of suicide bombings will be on Bush's head. Not Hezbollah, not Hamas or Al-Aqsa but George W Bush.

I guess GW got the message from the oil producing countries! Think about it...what economic effect does Israel have in the world? I believe that you might find your answer somewhere in an Arabian oil barrel!

Maybe you could post that in English so I could understand it.

One thing you can count on: Bush isn't going to turn his back on Israel. Sorry to disappoint you.

"I think the U.S. is paying "lip service" to the UN and the Arab League to get what we want and calm the waters/rhetoric as much as possible. Actions speak louder than words!"

I'm keeping my eye on W, but for now, I whole heartedly agree with your statement above! :)

I can't believe the people who are parsing words to make it sound like Bush actually did a good thing here. If Bush went into a store and stole something, all of you would find some reason to rationalize his theft. Well, Bush just stole something precious from the Israelis today--their safety and protection.

Mister.. you can disagree with me all you want. And I respect that.

But dont you go callin me simple minded... you wouldn't do it in my hearing so you neednt do it here.

Next off.. the one time Paul let loose on the High Priest (called him a whited wall).. when he found out he was the High Priest he apologized. And them was Jews agin Jews.. not me you or Bush.

God has done said anybody that goes agin His folks is gone git got by Him... thats plain what the Book says.

And makin Isreal not be able to defend theirself and linin up with all the world agin them is a whole sight more'n just "disagreeing" with them.

After all, the UN, EU, et all won't be able to say we didn't try...They did vote, unanimously, to accept the U.S. plan.

That's right. Isn't it amazing that after all the so-called outrage around the world (and among some of our own politicians) at Bush's actions....that the UN unaminously endorses Bush's plan within a few hours?
Talk about a reversal.

Once again Bush has shown an uncanny ability to difuse a seemingly huge political liability and pull the teeth out of the opposition.

The resolution says "...withdraw from Palestinian cities...".
They can still surround these cities, according the UN.

Oh right and that's why the US felt the need to SPONSOR a resolution to demand that Israel withdraw "without delay." Wasn't it enough fodder for the muslim militants, what Bush already said today? How many ways can one humiliate your ally in public? But I guess that Bush and Sharon had that humiliation tactic already worked out last night, right?

"Your offense is that you dared to criticize Bush. Bushibans cannot stand any dissent. You have committed a sin against their idol, and that is why you are being flamed. Please, refrain from criticizing the President, because the Bush martyrs might blow you up."

So if someone doesn't agree with your critism of the President, Or does not accept your view points, you call them Bushibans, and Bush Martyrs? Newsflash, some of us here completely disagree with your viewpoint, and niether hold "W" as an idol, nor feel the need to start throwing names around. Generalizing is a nasty thing. ;)

It is disgraceful don't you think. FR has become nothing more than a republican playbook. Might just as well be a Liberal Democrat playbook. There is not difference between them anymore anyways. All standards have gone out the window. No crime is too big as long as someone can rationalize it away. Lets all build a country on Lies and lack of principles. Like we will end up with heaven on earth if we do that...NOT!!!! FR was one of the last human elements of hope. Now it's over.

Gee, I wonder what would happen if the EU imposed sanctions on Israel.

Guess no one here thought of that, huh? Bush probably did.

Bush took an opportunity to make the best of a bad situation. The IDF has seriously damaged, perhaps destroyed much of the infrastructure of the Palestinian terror network. They have hundreds of militants in custody, and they have gleaned enough information as to how this bloody system operates. No reason for them to hang around Indian Country anymore, especially now that there can be a serious price to be paid for staying.
