ALEC Baldwin might be a bloviator, but a wife beater? The National Enquirer claims in a front-page story that the actor used to hit his spouse Kim Basinger. The couple's divorce was granted in February, but they still haven't worked out the financial settlement. "She's worried about his stability," one "close friend" is quoted in the weekly. "She claims he hit her more than once." According to the Enquirer, Kim arrived with a new bodyguard at a recital at their daughter Ireland's California school, and sat as far away as possible from Baldwin. Several calls to Baldwin's rep yesterday were not returned.

Besides his daughter "Ireland," he has a son named "Soviet Union."

Actually, he is reportedly now dating Tatum O'Neal, who lives in the same NY building as he does, according to the NY Post, while Kim has moved on as well. I think it is always sad for a child (their daughter, Ireland) when parents divorce.

I'm glad she got the HELL AWAY from that BASTARD! I hope someday the WIFE-BEATER gets his. BTW, where are the NAGS when you need them...oh I forgot on the road to extinction! Bawahahhahahha!!

And, reportedly, Tatum's dad, actor Ryan O'Neal, is now much more conservative -- and perhaps not thrilled about her daughter's new boyfriend.

"they still haven't worked out the financial settlement."
This is really not surprising -- she blew her fortune buying a small Georgia town, lost a ton of money of that; then, she got sued for backing out of a contract for the film "Boxing Helena" and lost another truckload of bucks.

This isn't news. Prior to the divorce there was a detailed report of his ranting verbal abuse of Bassinger in a public restaurant. Can't recall whether it was the Hamptons or Martha's Vineyard, but it sounded like a doozy.

I've known this for years, but didn't have a source. Everytime I posted something about Alec going "Jackson Browne" on Kim, somebody would deny that he was a wife beater.
I must have read it in the Globe or the National Enquirer on a checkout line somewhere.
You can always tell a wife-beater by the spittle in the corner of his mouth when he gets filled with inappropriate, self-righteous rage. This happens pretty much everytime Alec opens his mouth.

I wonder what makes these seemingly well-put-together celebrities act so vicious.
Habitual drunkedness. Alcoholism.

Why does the word "blivet" come to mind when I look at this fata## loudmouth? I'm not sure if the word means what I think - maybe someone can enlighten me?

She ought to put a restraining order on him, so he can't get a gun! Time to teach these elites a lesson we commoners have learned.

No, Seagal is loathed and despised in the legitimate martial arts community. His skill is skill in the movies, and his rank in Aikido is rumored to come from a sizeable "donation" to a particular Kan in Japan. (Don't ask me where he got the money.) I guess everyone has their price...
