Like Rush says, welcome home.
Now if only we could get our REPUBLICAN president to move right ward as well.
A good start would be acknowledging the proven, and obvious, truth that Arafat is the source of terrorism NOT a broker for peace (duh!).

This is good news!

CCAR President Rabbi Martin Wiener presented the shift in his organization's position as the result of a soul-searching the movement has conducted since the intifada broke out. "Many of us who supported the Oslo process in the past decade have to admit that the Palestinians do not want peace," Wiener said during his visit to Israel.
Good morning Rabbi, and welcome to reality. I hope your being mugged by it wasn't to painful.

93 percent felt the Palestinian Authority and Yasser Arafat were not doing enough to thwart terror.
Like nothing!

I have my doubts. There are far too many American Jews with a self destruct gene who readily snap up the lies of the left at their own peril.

Geeeez. I was wondering how long they were going to be fooled. Thank goodness they've seen the light.
It's odd it took them this long.

"his [Bush's] reluctance to restrict the right to bear arms..." Why, why, WHY are American Jews - many of them holocaust survivors or direct descendants of holocaust victims/survivors - so distressed at the thought of possessing the means to protect oneself and one's family? I swear to God, this rigid hatred of personal firearms ownership makes me think the majority of these people are mentally ill. At best, they are pathologically nonsensical. If having six million of your disarmed people slaughtered doesn't make a Second Amendment believer out of you, nothing will. What further evidence could possibly be presented to them to nudge them into the "self preservation" camp?

Me too. I'll believe it when I see it. It will be hard for Jews to stop their decades of turkey-brained support for liberals. I would like for someone to take a poll among Jews to see if they agree with Powell that "Arafat is a partner in peace." Then, take a poll to see if they will vote for liberals or conservatives in the next election. I'm betting the poll would still show a preference for liberals.

I have been saying this for a while. Bush has been wooing Jews and it's working. Plus the policies of the left in Israel have been a failure and American Jews see that.

In reference to Israel's war on terror, I won't bite on this rosy scenario till I see the mostly liberal Jewish organizations and leading individuals speak out in support of the beleaguered nation. They are generally and strangely silent. Kinda like the American Muslim organizations and leaders who are mostly mute in support of the U.S. war on terror.

It takes time to get rid of bad habits. Also, nothing breeds change like success..

Along with the rest of their compatriots, American Jews are moving rightward on issues ranging from the Israel-Palestinian conflict to civil rights and the environment.
Last time I looked Hillary and Schumer were the NY senators

Yes, why? And why do they continue to embrace abortion, after seeing what the philosophy that says that
some human beings are expendable did for them in Germany?

All American lib's - Jews are no exception - suffer from a severe case of "Stockholm Syndrome" where they inevitably come to sympathize more with their attackers than they do with those who would free them.
Kinda like the little kid on the playground who, out of fear and the hope of currying favor, feigns frienship with the kid who bullies him when the teacher comes to find out what the problem is.
It is pitiful, but true.
