Hizbollah fires Katyusha rocket into Israel

    JERUSALEM, April 2 (Reuters) - Iranian-backed Hizbollah
guerrillas fired a Katyusha rocket into Israel from Lebanon
early on Tuesday, Israeli security sources said.
The sources said at least one 107mm Katyusha struck Israel's
Upper Galilee region. There were no immediate reports of
casualties. There was no immediate comment from Israeli army.
There is concern in Israel that the Lebanese Hizbollah
guerrillas may be trying to open a second front with Israel as
the Jewish state conducts a military campaign in the Palestinian
territories in a bid to halt a spate of suicide bombings.
It was the first reported Katyusha strike by Hizbollah
guerrillas on Israeli territory since the Israeli army withdrew
from Lebanon in May 2000, ending a 22-year-long occupation.
Hizbollah on Saturday fired anti-tank rockets and grenades
at Israeli military positions along the border. Israeli war
planes hit Hizbollah targets in retaliation.

I agree that Arabs have never had a more opportune time to "turn" the world against Israel. I doubt if the general public truly realizes the volatility of the current situation.
"The fourth strategy is that of using and manipulating the changes in the former Soviet Union to bring about, in the longer run, radical changes in relations between the United States and Israel, in the political power structure in Israel itself, in Israel's position in the Middle East and in world opinion towards Israel."

Time to include Syria in the "axis of evil."
"US Policymakers should urgently re-examine their assumptions about the 'progress' of Russia and China 'towards democracy'. They should take account of Sino-Russian strategy and should recognize that the long-term strategic, political and economic threat comes from a Sino-Russian axis and associated participants like North Korea, Iran, Iraq and Syria. The Russian and Chinese leaders are still committed to their objective of world domination and believe that, disguised as 'democrats', in accordance with Leninist teaching, they will be able to achieve it.

If you convert to a messianic Jew who believes Jesus is the messiah... they will take you in. Or, so it is being said. you could keep 90 percent of your catholic faith... and be an Israeli citizen, working as a member of the sniper corp by the middle of next month... I am guessing.

Much more of this crap, and a WHOLE lot of us, ticked off protestants AND catholics might just do that. Of course, give this war a crank up or two, and we might all be toting m-16's HERE as well as over there.

We need to redraw a LOT of national boundaries in the former arab world, if we want democracy to thrive on the planet.

Too bad they won't take us here, if we are over forty. They could at LEAST offer us support jobs.... desk, computer ops, medical corp, engineering and such... Most of us would still be stronger than the little girls they are trying to hire for the marine corp.

I must admit that I am sure wondering if it is myself.

Israel needed a 40-yo Cherokee sharpshooter with a crippled right arm a few years ago. You need not be Jewish to serve.

As far as here at home, there are plenty of opportunities to help. Some of our young'uns and I are in the Civil Air Patrol (USAF AUX), and I just got a call that the USCG AUX needs a 58-yo overweight woman (Lord only knows for what! -- I hope it isn't ballast...) Y'all go check out the links on FR's home page (well, it was still there the last time I looked, anyway)
