The Saudi Embassy USA touts the country's support of Palestinean suicide bombers and their families.

At the end of its session, the council issued a statement on the Al-Aqsa intifada, strongly condemning the brutal massacres, killings, torture, siege and starvation suffered by the Palestinian people at the hands of the occupying Zionist enemy. The statement reiterated support for the intifada, describing it as the legitimate right of resisting the occupier, deterring aggression, protecting sanctuaries, and realizing the hopes of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on their national soil with Al Quds [Jerusalem] as its capital, together with the rights of refugees to return to their homes and to be compensated. The statement paid tribute to the souls of the martyrs of this holy intifada and to the provision of assistance to its heroes and to those of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) in accordance with the statement of the extraordinary Arab Summit held in Cairo in October 2000.

The Saudi Committee for Support of the Al-Quds Intifada has so far distributed about SR 123.75 million [U.S. $ 33 million]. Minister of the Interior Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, who is the Committee's Chairman, expressed his appreciation to the Saudi people for their response in supporting their Palestinian brothers in Israel's blatant aggression against them. Financial aid has been disbursed to the families of 2,281 prisoners and 358 martyrs, as well as to 8,000 wounded, 1,000 handicapped, and another 102 Palestinians who have received treatment in the Kingdom's hospitals.

Minister of Finance and National Economy Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf said today that the Saudi government has to date given a total of SR 8.9 billion [U.S. $2.37 billion] in aid to the government and people of Palestine. Dr. Al-Assaf, speaking at a press conference in Riyadh, reiterated the Kingdom's staunch support of the Palestinian intifada [uprising], and declared that assistance to the Palestinian people, a firm Saudi policy ever since the days of King Abdulaziz, has been translated into unlimited initiatives in various political, economic and social areas and at various local, regional and international levels. He referred in particular to the sum of SR 2.2 billion [$585.89 million] since Madrid, that includes the Kingdom's donation of $300 million as announced at the international conferences for the support of the Palestinian Authority. This assistance, he explained, is disbursed by the Saudi Development Fund (SDF), partly for SDF projects but also to support the Palestinian budget.

Dr. Al-Assaf said that the emergency Arab Summit in Cairo in October 2000 accepted a proposal made by Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz concerning the establishment of a fund for the intifada. This fund has resources of $200 million, with the Kingdom's share standing at $50 million, and targets the families of victims of the intifada, specifically to educate the sons of martyrs and rehabilitate the injured. Dr. Al-Assaf added that the Crown Prince's second proposal, to establish a fund for Al-Aqsa, with resources of $800 million in which the Kingdom's share is $200 million, is dedicated to finance projects that would protect the Arab and Islamic identity of Al-Quds [Jerusalem].

Donations are still coming in to the committee, chaired by Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, that was set up to coordinate the fundraising. This committee, Dr. Al- Assaf said, has pledged a sum of SR 20,000 [$5,333] to each family that has suffered from martyrdom. A total of SR 124 million [$33.07 million] has been transferred for this purpose, and to provide for the injured.

The extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo in 2000 adopted the Kingdom's proposal to set up two funds with a capital of $1 billion, for the purpose of preserving the Arab and Islamic identity of Al-Quds and to support Al-Intifadah (uprising). Saudi Arabia contributed $250 million to these funds. That year, Saudi Arabia sent medical teams to help wounded Palestinians, extended to others free medical treatment in the Kingdom, and offered financial support to one thousand families of Palestinian martyrs and those who suffered injuries in the cause.

"We would like to salute the heroic intifadah of the Palestinians and their resistance to Israel's occupation and its destructive military machinery and repressive measures against them. We hail the courageous martyrs of the intifadah, and stress strong support on all levels for the Palestinian people and for their legitimate heroic struggle against occupation, to achieve their just demands for their right of return, self-determination, and the establishment of their state with Al-Quds [East Jerusalem] as its capital."

And President Bush is planning to invite Crown Prince Abdullah, who is in charge of Saudi Arabia, and therefore responsible for such endorsements of terror, to his private home in Crawford, Texas? No person who endorses murderous attacks on civilians should ever be admitted to the United States. Bush is drifting further into moral incoherence in his attempt to maintain some sort of relations with people who are living in the 6th Century.

I can't help but think that the transnational terrorists cannot be stopped without a confrontation between the US and the Muslim states over their support of the terrorists. I can understand our current temporizing as long as it is part of a long term plan to end the sickness which has invaded the Muslim world, and the governments of Muslim nations. It won't be pretty, but unfortunately, it must happen for our welfare, and in fact, for the welfare of the people of the Muslim nations.

This evening, Fox News Channel (We Report, You Decide) has been ginning the story that Iraq has been supporting Palestinean suicide bombers, when the above citations from http://www.saudiembassy.net/ make it eminently clear that the Saudis are supporting and coddling the suicide terrorists of Ramallah who call themselves "martys."

At the Pentagon, Rumsfeld offered a searing indictment of Iran, Iraq and Syria as supporters of a terrorist "war on civilization."

hmmm! well I guess the Arab nations don't want these idiots moving back to their land, since initially..they threw them out! When the heck did any part of Israel become their national soil? In about 700bc or so when Muhammad decided that Israel had all the riches he desired and so it unconditionaly became Muslim soil i.e the Palestinians!

Well I hope the Israeli's kick their low down dirty rotten butts out of the country entirely.. wouldn't hurt my feeling one little bit.. we ought to do the same here.. or we will be in the same shape as Israel.. hide and watch!

I wonder if our state department, CIA, FBI, Pentagon, Homeland Security, et al ever read the site for themselves and have drawn any conclusions from it.
