I love this site.I am a christian and huge follower and researcher of Israel and the events going on there..I wanted to know why so many of you on this board are Pro Israel...Its a great thing to coem to this site and see so much support for Israel...
This site is best online to find great fastttttt breaking news..I am news junkie :))))
It was obvious to Arafat that day. Note the lack of standard smirk. In the wake of Durban, he had Sharon on the ropes.
I find this very interesting. If the Jews are God's chosen people, where does that put you as a Christian--are you not chosen? You believe in Christ, yet you are calling those who don't believe in Him "God's chosen"?
Isn't there is a scripture that says that "all nations will fight against Israel."
All nations includes the U.S.
I can see this as a possible future reality, especially if the U.S. becomes dependent on oil from the Middle East. My question, however, is this: If all nations (including the U.S.) are fighting against Israel (sometime in the future), where will your loyalties as a U.S. Christian lie? I mean, we all want to be on "God's side" and win, but what if our nation is fighting against his "chosen" people?
The Jews are God's original chosen people and God never breaks His covenants.
Christians are grafted, or adopted into God's covenant.

Not necessarily. The Bible often uses the word "all" in general sense where it is clear the meaning is not "every".
For example the Bible says that "all the people" of Sodom gathered outside of Lot's house demanding to have sex with his vistors.(the angels)
I don't think anyone believes this meant that every man woman and child in the entire city without exception was outside of Lot's house.
The fact is we often use "all" in a general sense without meaning every single one without exception and this is normal use of the language.
Genesis 12 was addressed to Abraham, and Abraham was not a Jew:
Genesis 12
2 "I will make you into a great nation
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you."
That statement just about sums it up.
I'm sorry, but that sounds like a very "tortured" explanation. Like the many "force fits" of history which we take for granted because they have been used for so long but are never really thought about.
This is certainly the case with The Lost Tribes of Israel which have been far too conveniently "lost".
Where does it say that?
Heres a few places;
1 Chronicles 16:13
O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
2 Chronicles 6:6
But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.
Isaiah 44:1
Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:
Deuteronomy 7:6
For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that [are] upon the face of the earth.
Exodus 3:10
Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt
Exodus 7:4
But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
2 Samuel 3:18
1 Now then do it: for the LORD hath spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.
These are of course just a few of many examples in the Bible where God tells us that the Jews are His chosen people.
No, those are of course examples of what God tells ISRAELITES, not Jews. This little chart may help you remember the difference:
Partial list of Biblical Characters. Most were Hebrews and Israelites but NONE were JEWS
Genesis: God, Adam, Eve, Cain, Abel, Seth, Enoch, Methuselah, Noah, Shem, Ham, Japheth, Lot, Abraham, Sara, Melchizedek, Eliezer, Hagar, Ishmael, Isaac, Abimelech, Rebekah, Laban, Keturah, Esau, Jacob/Israel, Leah, Rachel, Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, Benjamin, Dinah, Potiphar, Tamar, Perez, Zerah, Manasseh, Ephraim.
Exodus: Moses, Zipporah, Gershom, Jethro, Aaron, Eleazar, Joshua, Hur, Nadab, Abihu, Ithamar, Bezalel, Uri, Nun, Oholiab, Ahisamach.
Leviticus: Mishael, Elzaphan, Uzziel, Molech, Shelomith, Dibri.
Others: David, Solomon and Sampson were not Jews, among many others...
No Israelites were called "Jews" until well after the collapse of the original Davidic Kingdom of Israel. The 5 MILLION Israelites split into Northern and Southern Kingdoms in about 922 BC., and both were taken into captivity and separate diaspora within 400 years.
Many scholars place the earliest date of naming these Israelites Jews ~500 BC, following the return of the Southern Kingdom from Bablyon. Those ~50,000 Jews were Israelites, but only a tiny number of the Millions of Israelites were ever called Jews.
I'm sorry, but that sounds like a very "tortured" explanation.
Oh, so you believe that "all the people" of the city meant every single man woman and child of Sodom without exception was gathered outside Lot's house all asking to have sex with the angels? Right.
And you believe that "all the nations" means every single nation on the face of the earth, including Switzerland, Canada, the USA, Belize and every other tiny nation that can barely afford a police force...every single one will be actively fighting against Israel. Sure, that's what it means. :)
LOL

Sorry but you are wrong.
The fact is the entire Hebrew race and the Israelites are refered to as Jews in the Bible.
In the Gospels "Jews" is the usual term for Israelites and descendants of Abraham.
Here is a conversation with Jesus where the term Jews is used for the descendants of Abraham;
John 8:52
Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.
John 8:53
Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?
John 8:56
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
John 8:57
Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
Romans 3:1
What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
So we have the writers of the New Testament, the disciples and Jesus recognizing the fact that Jews refers to the Israelite and the Hebrew race.
I'll take their word for it.
What have I attributed to you, that you didn't say?
Why make such a claim without providing any information as to what exactly you are talking about?
Is this a habit of some sort (grin)?
Please show me just one place in the Bible where the entire Hebrew race and the Israelites are refered to as Jews. You're bluffing, and I'm calling!
>In the Gospels "Jews" is the usual term for Israelites and descendants of Abraham.
Don't give me that "usual" crap. That's just another "tortured" explanation. With that and a dollar bill you MAY be able to buy a cup of coffee.

That is the most adolescent attempt to make a correlation I've seen in years. Are you trying to pass yourself off as a Biblical scholar with that sense of logic? Please, Go ahead and actually READ my profile and learn that:
All Jews are Israelites, but only a few Israelites are Jews.
Now go write that on a blackboard a thousand times!
That's funny. You are saying Abraham was not a Jew, yet he is refered to as the father of the Jews in the New Testament....in conversations with Jesus no less.
Who do I believe? The disciples, Jesus and writers of the Bible, or you?
