"Trivializing Mass Murder"
By Colbert I. King Saturday, March 23, 2002; Page A21 Augustus Alzona of Montgomery County, a prominent figure in the news as of late, is a political wannabe who won't take no for an answer. . . . . . . . to become a Republican member of the Maryland House of Delegates in 1994. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Undeterred, Alzona, a self-described conservative, presented himself four years later as a candidate for the Maryland state Senate. Brian Frosh, his Democratic opponent, easily dispatched him by a 2-1 margin.

The people who are trivializing mass murder are the gun grabbers who tell us "It can't happen here."

.58 caliber Buh-BUMP!
To: Hail Caesar
Should Alzona apologize he would be immediately expelled from the TRT and be persona non grata on this forum(which he might be anyway if he posts this one more time).

Dear Mr. Alonza,
Do not apologize. Don't back pedal at all. Just say, "Look, it's a parody. I'm sorry you don't get it, but I consider gun-grabbing, 2nd Amendment-hating, left wing kooks to be the equivalent of Nazis who did much the same thing in 1930's Germany. If you enablers in the media want to make a cause celebre out of it, be my guest. I'm content to let the people decide."
And do yourself a favor - don't talk to the Washington Post.
To: Hail Caesar
No...but Colbert King should apologize to the tens of thousands of disarmed Zimbabwean citizens who are being murdered, raped, and tortured by government troops.

To: Hail Caesar
Apologize? For telling it like it is? The Rats and RINOs should apologize for trashing the Constitution.

Make no mistake about it, the people protesting this montage are the same people who applauded "artist" Andres Serrano when he dipped a crucifix in a jar filled with urine and called it art. Payback time. Let them be offended. Call it art, apply for a grant with the NEA.

I know, I know. But, the numerous news stories continue, though the "song (flier) remains the same"...

Don't even think about apologizing. End of discussion.

I am being sued because of the LIEberman Freep! How can they sue you? You told the truth. The left can tell any hateful and destructive lie with no consequence from their PR agents in the press.
That's it. Mr. ALzona needs to use this golden opportunity, the WP handing a Republican the microphone, to stand up for the gun rights position. Do a press conference with Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership and engage them in this sorry, left-wing liars' controlled culture war.
To: Hail Caesar
If you know Mr Alzona well, as you stated, you need to get in touch with him and flesh out his media response to this flap. Take the responses from this thread, put them together into soudbites, and practice them, making sure he doesn't include misquotable phrases into the rebuttal response. Enjoy your weekend, and give'em hell!
To: Hail Caesar
Better yet, get a new flier using Goebbels and the WashPost. Call the press conference, and hand out a stapled stack of JPFO statistics and articles, with the Goebbels/washpost flier on the third page...
To: Hail Caesar
Should Alzona apologize?
Yes he should, for being misunderstood by the morons on the left. He should apologize for confusing the cluttered little minds of the politically correct.

kiss this, you (of course, hyphenated) liberty-fearing panty stain.

What an abuse of language.I used to think that the spewings of ultra-left-wing columnists were following some sort of playbook on how to mystify and mesmerize the populace with BS, which would then allow them to go about their business while we all were distracted. I've come to realize, much to my horror, that these folks actually BELIEVE what they say.
So they want us to believe that it's anti-Semitic for a person to use the Holocaust to illustrate the end result of a government gone crazy? Just how does that figure?

State Senator Frosh has a perfect far-left voting record I could have surmised that from the way this reporter wrote his article. But I do appreciate you explaining the particlars of your local politics. Thanks. fsf

A year ago, finding himself contending with Montgomery County women opposed to gun shows, Alzona dismissed them as "misled mom cellulite." Asked why the use of that phrase, he said, "I thought I was being cute."The actual transcript (in other words, the whole truth) of that misquote (from King above) from the local county council's hearing on a gun show ban bill documents Alzona as refering to the Million Mom March organization's fat reams of bogus gun violence statistics by merely saying "let's cut through the Misled Mom cellulite."
He considered the use of the phrase "Misled Mom cellulite" as a cute alternative to the less eloquent phrase "Million Mom March fat." - ;-)
