President Bush signed the controversial Campaign Finance Reform bill today as Mitch McConnell immediately filed suit against it. Bush later headed to South Carolina where he spoke to Emergency First Responders in Greenville. He also stopped in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia Tech Institute of Technology where he watched drills demostrating response to terror attacks. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!
Everyone remember that he was a jet pilot. He thinks 5 moves ahead. He has his eye on the final result which includes NOT handing the next few Supreme Court seats to Liberals - who really would trash our constitution. Sandra Day O'Connor has said she wants to retire, and good health is never a given, even for the Supremes.
BTW, I read on FR days ago that he would sign this bill without any fanfare! And he knows Mitch McConnell is on his side.
Thanks a MILLION, rintense! You are da Bomb!!................did I just say that?!
Good night!! Now I really mean it!!
If Bush had vetoed this he would be raked over the coals by the media and dems for (what is their standard line?) supporting the rich and corporations, so why give the dems and issue for the upcoming elections, let the SC shoot it down, and let the world know that they created an unconstitutional campaign reform bill. This just isn't something the public is paying attention to like we are, they don't even know what it consists of except it limits big corporations. But when the Supreme Court calls it, they will know what is in it. just my opinion.
Me too!! That is all I could think about all day.....our President is smart enough to know the courts will throw out some of the seriously anti-constitutional parts of campaign finance reform and smart enough to quietly sign the CFR with only a few present, NO PHOTO-OP for that jerk McCain and his sniveling fellow rats, that sheer smoothness of this move is FABULOUS!
I would bet that johnny McCain is already working on his speech about 'how it doesn't matter than he received no WH invite to the signing ceremony because it is the fact that the reform is signed that really matters'....or some such false blather when inside that nasty little Arizona rino is RED HOT, FURIOUS, and simply SEETHING with ANGER and JEALOUSLY. At least I kinda hope that dope is upset. I cannot abide him.He he
