...........MIGHT believe that there are those on this forum that will never accept anything Bush does? Namely, the Patsies, the Brownies and the Keyesters. And the libertarians, of course.

I'll accept the upholding of the Constitution. When he does that, drop me a note.

It tells us that 1) they never supported him in the first place and more than likely worked against him; 2) that they were just looking for something to pin on him so they could come out of the closet,

I've been saying that for a while, now. Most of these "GWB is a (pick the slur)" posters wouldn't vote for him if he was the only candidate. If you watch them long enough, they trip themselves bragging about their vote for Phillips, Buchanan, or some other loser on other threads.

It just gets old after a while.

but there are times when I'd describe the support from some of Bush's supporters around here as approaching fanaticism.

"The very same thing can be said for the Bush haters/bashers."

Neither are really great, are they?

You're scaring me with talk like that.

Who do you think it might be? Hillary, Little Tommy D., Richard G.?

They are all so fabulous to contemplate.

As far as his good accomplishments go:

1. Cutting taxes.
2. Ripping up the Kyoto treaty.
3. Repealing Clinton's ergonomics regulations.
4. Acting decisively in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks.

As far as his bad accomplishments go:

1. Enacting campaign finance "reform."
2. Keeping Clinton's arsenic rules.
3. Imposing tariffs on steel.
4. Supporting amnesty for illegals.
5. Expanding the food stamp program.
6. Signing Tom Dasshole's economic stimulus bill.
7. Signing Ted Kennedy's miseducation bill.
8. Campaigning for various RINOs like Connie Morella (who has a 12% approval rating from the American Conservative Union) while shunning Schundler.

The nightly news is no longer a course in sex education!

We now have a First Lady who is a class act!

The needs of the farmers in the Klamath Basin will now be put ahead of the sucker fish.

There may be a core group of hardcore Bush-bashers out there, but there was a lengthy thread posted yesterday concerning Bush/CFR and there were PLENTY of FReepers who said that CFR was the last (not the first or only) straw for them.

You are deluding yourself. Most of the posters on that thread didn't vote for GWB and would never vote for him. You've got to realize where some of this venom is coming from, and it ain't coming from anyplace important.

I'm sure Bush is the very first president to have signed a bill which contained a few provisions he might have considered unconstitutional but was willing to let the Supreme Court review, as is their (not his) function. Every governor has signed such bills, every president has signed such bills. Where were all you strict constitutionalists then?

I can't keep up with how many of them are running; just think of who they might appoint to their cabinets; why Bill Clinton might get Secretary of State!

He will rebuild our military.

He has restored dignity and pride to our people in the Military.

He has made it alright to be patriotic and to be an American.

With all due respect, I'd say 75% of the people on this forum show less reverence for God than you people do for Bush. I don't dislike either you or Bush, but there are times when I'd describe the support from some of Bush's supporters around here as approaching fanaticism.

I had intended to say, "...than some people do for Bush."  I had not intended to make a statement which cast a direct reflection on Miss. Marple.  I'd like to appologize for wording my comments in such a manner that they did reflect directly on Miss. Marple.  I believe that's inappropriate.

I believe that both sides need to be objective.  I think it's fair for both sides to call the other when they go over the line.

In support of Bush I will say that I think he is a good man.  I certainly disagree with him, but I do not see him as a Clinton at all.

While I do believe that certain people see Bush as all black or all white, I do not consider him to be such an individual. Bush is a good man. I do not think he sees things the same way I do. That doesn't necessarily make him a bad man at all. It's entirely possible for two good men to see things differently concering important topics. Does that mean that I'd necessarily vote for him? Most likely not.

Thanks for the freepmail flag and nice list. I would add inadvertently coining the phrase "Clymer", though he has done much more...
