Which movie (past or present) embodies the most liberal message?

I just saw the Grapes of Wrath on AMC or parts of it the other night. When we got to the part about the clean, well run,efficient safe government camp, well that was just too much for me.....

I think Grapes of Wrath may be the most liberal movie of all time or maybe the most influential liberal movie. Certainly for its time it was way out of the mainstream and I believe it won best picture?

Even though it is a VERY liberal movie, I liked the American President, because it gave me a chance to look at Bill Clinton through the rose-colored glasses that liberals see him through. The fact is they only saw what they wanted to see, and let the "end justify the means".

Any of the films that tried to tell us that the Hollywood Communists were just misunderstood loyal Americans and the anticommunists were evil witch-hunters: Guilty by Suspicion, The Front, The Majestic, etc. The Iron Giant, though a lovely animated film, falls into this category also.

The most evil American film ever made, the Stalinist hagiography Mission to Moscow.

You actually saw that stinking pile? I watched it for five minutes and wanted to throw up.

Let's not forget The Shield with Lorrie Petty and Ice Cube. A Jewish female officer and a black convict team up against the white male police department to prove that the latter was "framed."

The best choice. It also shows the old-style, not completely unsympathetic liberal mindset: naive, class-oriented, square dealish, somewhat dishonest ("truck drivers"), but not today's purely self-centered, cheaply emotional, tribal liberal.

How about Song of Russia (I think that's the name),or any John Garfield movie
