I looked up the history of Palestine in the encyclopedia and it appears that it was originally the land of the Caananites and the Philistines. Then it was united under King David and Solomon and called Palestine. Then broken apart into Judah and Israel under King Saul. This was all more than 1000 years BC. Islam did not even come into the picture until around 675AD. So, there may have been a Palestine, but the Palestinians were Jews (the name coming from Judah). The area was conquered and colonized over and over by different groups, but never by anyone calling themselves Palestinians.

As for Muslims not allowing the Jews and Christians to openly worship polytheistic Gods, that is irrelevant because the Jews were the first monotheistic people in the world. Also the original Muslim rulers of the Palestine are allowed the Jews to keep their own settlements and their own religion, right along side the Muslim settlements. It was only in later years that Islam became an aggressive autocratic governmental institution. Islam was originally a religion of Peace.

No, the kingdom under David or Saul or Solomon was never called Palestine. It was called Israel. The Philistines were their worst enemies, were warred against by Israelis from the time the Philistines landed about 1290 BC (yes, Jews already in the land)...until they were clobbered badly about 1010 and vanished totally by about 950 .

The term Palestine was never used for this land in any way, shape, or form until Pompey and Julius Caesar in the 62-46 BC period needed a name for this new (narrower southern coastal) extension just being added to the Roman province of Syria. They called it (what we know as Israel and Lebanon) "Syria Palestensis"="Syria of the Philistines" to distinguish it from the large inland province based at Damascus.

Thus the last Philistine had died nearly a thousand years before the term "Palestine" came to be.

Meanwhile, the Jews continued to use the term "Pleshet"(also a deriv of term "Philist") to refer to the (alien, enemy) non-Jews living in their land, as distinguished from foreigners who might have asked nicely and received "stranger within the gates" (ie resident alien) status from the Jewish monarchies themselves...

The fate of Pleshet in the next few years is described in Joel, Zecharia, Ovadia, and in Isaiah 14:29-32, not a pretty picture. Reads just like today's news, doesn't it? Notice how Isaiah keeps saying "you WHOLE of pleshet, you ALL of the pleshti" etc to keep modern idiots from denying this refers to all so-called Palestinians, not the so-called Philistines now long defunct.

I think it was very nice of Yasser's thugs to call themselves by the name of uncivilized savages exterminated by the Jews, what is in a name, he was sealing his fate and theirs.

Obviously Judaism originated in the Middle East and has existed there for a long time and belongs there. If anything doesn't belong in the Middle East, it's Islam because it was there last.

Islam was a religion of war from its inception at Medinah in 622 AD. At the Prophet's death in 632, his forces burst on the world, slaughtering tens of millions of innocents, mostly Christians, until in just 100 years by 732, they had largely conquered France, but were by mighty intevention of God, destroyed there by Charles Martel (upon whom peace, pray now for his soul)

Both Israel with its 4 million Christians and Egypt with its 20 million plus, were brutally conquered by Islamic devils in the 638-640 period. Rivers of Christian blood flowed, and the souls of the Martyrs of Christ, mostly women and children, ascended to heaven like vast golden clouds.

Islam was originally a religion of Peace.

One example does not make islam a religion of peace. When the whole body of their history and their holy book states differently.

Afraid not. Almost from the moment of the hijira in 622 (the date Islam uses as the start of their calendar) Muhammad and his followers took up the sword and used it liberally, both to fill their coffers and to spread their beliefs.

Islam ahs never been a religion of peace, only submission. They allowed jews to exist only as we allow illegal mexicans to exist in our country. And the only way to rise was not to become a legal citizen, but to give up your religion and submit to the ayatollah and clitoricize your daughters.

Crystalk is right, the Romans renamed the area to Palestina.

Here is an interesting link about that

Islam was originally a religion of Peace.

This is either an ignorant or intentionally deceptive assertion.

I suggest you read Let's Restore Medina to the Jews which quotes an academic text, and has links to other sites.

I think not, it was spread from it's very begining by the sword. Now other religions, once established, also were spread by the sword, but few by their founder and "prophet".
