President Bush and First Lady Laura are on their way to Latin America for a four-day trip with visits to Mexico, Peru and El Salvador. In a stop-over in El Paso, TX, Bush spoke to a crowd about increasing security at our nation's borders. He also visited a local customs inspection area. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Two-bit terrorists aren't going to prevent me from doing what we need to do, and that is to promote our friendship in the hemisphere. Fighting words!

Whoa there homeschooler, I said nothing about hating him....Im country(constitution) before party and although I like Bush alot and have lots of respect for him, I lost a little respect for the man when he said he'll sign it because he also noted he saw some "contitutional issues". This means that he knowingly is signing something that should be either vetoed and sent back for reworking or just shelved. Im not a liberal poser coming to FR to outrage. Im just trying to convey my concern to the hardest of Bush lovers. Rintense (classy)is being very gracious with my concern....why cant you????

You can see that, huh? How come you cannot see that the people that you address are NOT saying that everything that the President does is wonderful.
They're saying that they understand, realistically, that they will NOT be happy with everything that he does but that they won't viciously turn on him when he occasionally does do something that they're not happy about.
They're also saying that they're not going to jump the gun, that they will comment on what he does AFTER HE ACTUALLY DOES IT and not before.
To accuse them of claiming that the President can do no wrong only shows YOUR blindness.

No, it isn't too much to ask for one thread to show appreciation. I believe all can share views without being spiteful, rude, and venomous- and THIS is what is unacceptable. We've seen it a lot on the DitL threads, only because to some, those who post here are east targets. I respect respectful debate- and always have, but if people want to be that childish and disrupt a thread just for the sake of disrupting- then that is where I take exception (as should we all).
Quite frankly, I am becoming extremely disillusioned with it all... makes me wonder if we are seeing the true nature of conservatism.

Not sure what you mean by lately...remember the Buchanan days? This forum has always had and always will have its share of foam-at-the-mouthers. Thanks for the daily images.

Shopping was bittersweet. Got some great stuff, but got a call from my boss telling me about the massive layoffs and plant closing we had yesterday. As I have said before, for those who think there is/was no recession, come visit my industry and try to explain that to the 3900 people who have lost their jobs at my company since May 2001.

. The kicker here is do we trust the SCOUTS? I say "Yes!"

Well aren't you the martyr, what a brave stance, to be against CFR. What republican isn't. I'm saying why step on your own d*** about this issue that will mean NADA to any of us? This is a non-issue because it is based on McCain's treasonous deal with Democrats and the false heat developed from Media driven Enron mudslinging. To say CFR is bad because you are a Constitutionalist is goofy. Like I said, nobaody complained when W said he wouldn't veto last year. In fact, then it was a good tactic, remember? This whole battle is a distraction and to join it is to make the terrorists win, you know, daschle, gephart... I agree with some of the other Freepers, like the media, you're upset about something that hasn't happened yet. You and yours are going to put Gore in office over a goofy McCain debacle. Why are we not yelling at him?!?!?!?!?!

I see that your love for the man is getting in front of your love of country. Let me guess, your kids never do wrong either in your eyes. Just so you know, I am a big Dubya fan. However I am a bigger fan of our Constitution and standing up for what's right.
You "see" what Limbaugh, Liddy and Savage tell you to see. And either way this bill will mean nothing to this country period. You want to do whats right? Tell us all why!!! its unconstituional. Don't say the 60 day ban because thats only soft money. W's campaign money came from %65 of $2000 donations from us! HARD MONEY!!!! All this sophistry over the Constitution is drivel spit from those who just want to beat the bill, it is not based on fact. Good luck campaigning for Gore!

Yeah, but let's not be tooooo harsh on our Freeper bros and sis. I too was in shock and upset that 10 RINOS crossed over to the dark side on this one. And when I heard W might sign it into law, well I too hit the roof! The RINOS stabbed W in the back and put him in a tough position. I think our anger should be directed towards those cowards, shamless, spinless pubs! And try with all our might to kick'em out of office! I for one will support our president for now and stay the course! :)

guess I just see a terrific Commander in Chief and a tax cutting, Kyoto tossing, missile defensing, estate tax dropping, military pay raising, border tightening, education reforming, social security privatizing, dignity and honor restoring president.DITTO!!!!
