I don't think Bush will veto this, but he'll wait with anticipation for it's anti-constitutional qualities to be served to the Supreme court like a waist-high fastball over the middle of the plate.

Hopefully the Supremes will make short work of smacking it out of the park.

"Hey, don't forget that if libertarians hadn't spoiled two senatorial races, we'd get to have two more republican senators voting yes for CFR, instead of two democratic senators voting yes on CFR."

Ashcroft (instead of Carnahan) and Lazio (instead of Hillary)? Did Libertarians spoil those? If you want to start in on the Libertarian bashing, do it on another thread.

If Bush signs this abomination, then I will not support him anymore. I also will further predict that his popularity ratings will go down. Sorry, but he will lose his re-election bid should Karl Rove continue to run the government.

I would love to see President Bush veto this. My problem is that when the media beats him over the head with it, our side in Washington is either too spineless to defend him or the ones that do speak up are left on the editing room floor. Our message never gets out!!

Truly, it is a shame that unscrupulous Enron executives will no longer be able to donate millions of units of free speech to our corrupt politicians.

You forgot to close your sarcasm tag.

What's the procedure on the lawsuit....can they apply to thje Supremes to take the case directly......I know there's a procedure to do that......

You mean have Bush ask SCOTUS for guidance on a law he believes may be unconstitutional, prior to signing it? Hmmmmm....that's a pretty good idea, if it's possible.

In one White House meeting in advance of the vote, senior advisers briefly discussed whether to stage a signing ceremony. They reluctantly decided that Bush had no other choice, according to two participants who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Which Senator or Congressman is going to lead the court challenges to this bill?

The President must be contacted at once. It's time to clog the servers and switchboards at the White House.

Ensign and Gorton would not have voted for this and you know it.
