Yes. Domenici voted AYE. I called his Santa Fe office and asked. She said, "He voted for it." I said I'd been in the state since 1972, was a registered Republican and was the most disappointed in him I'd ever been. Through clenched teeth. Then I broke the phone--which in retrospect will reduce the calls to Washington (which will be illegal next year).

He'll gleefully sign it! BUSH HAS GOT TO GO, as well as all of the Senators and Representatives who voted for this anti-free speech bill.

How 'bout this one: my senior senator, Thad Cochran, voted for cloture. I've already told his nice legislative assistant, who sounds really hot on the phone, that I'll be voting for his democRAT opponent this fall.

I predict the media will quietly say "look what the Senate did" and be otherwise very very quite. They know they are up to their eyeballs in corruption over this.

I can't even read about this without violent nausea attacks occuring.
Can we do a class action lawsuit for abrogating the Constitutional guarantee of Free Speech????? And, I don't mean Judicial Watch.

I've already told his nice legislative assistant, who sounds really hot on the phone, that I'll be voting for his democRAT opponent this fall. LOL. Thanks for the full description. But don't vote democrat. If you can't bring yourself to vote GOP there must be a third-party you can go for.

This is what Congressman BillBob posted on another thread regarding a "secret plan":
I am privy to some inside information which I am not at liberty to discuss until after this bill reaches the President's desk and he decides what to do with it. However, if he calls a press conference to announce his decision, and the only people who are present with him at that time are Attorney General Ashcroft and Solicitor General Olson, then pay close attention to what is about to happen.
The action taken then and there by President Bush will be something that every President has had the power to do from the beginning, but no President has ever done before, He will deal with this bill in a way no other bill has ever been dealt with. And I think that the members of FreeRepublic will be satisfied with the result.
Do not ask questions for more details because I cannot give them. Suffice to say that the proposed plan of action for that moment, if that is Bush's choice, has passed my eyes.
As the Archangel Micheal (John Travolta) in Michael says, when asked "How do you know that?" he replies, "I pay attention."

They will celebrate this as the most important thing since the Bill of Rights. This gives them ALL the power in elections. They can handpick their candidates and winners.

I am not looking forward to the raving's of a mad man tonight, Matthews will start it off then were will the luny-bird show up next?

Of course you can. Congress is just like you and the other Bushies, they talk tough, but don't believe a word they say. Go take a look at my other posts, then come back and tell me I'm a "Bushie". Hint: You're way off.

I would love to see President Bush veto this. My problem is that when the media beats him over the head with it, our side in Washington is either too spineless to defend him ... Pretty soon it'll be illegal to say the word SPINELESS. Every time I hear that word, I think of that pom-pom shaking jellyfish Trent Lott.
And you know, we can't be critical of our elected representatives anymore....(/sarcasm)
To: toenail
The NRA has promised to push this all the way to the Supreme Court. I am sure a lot of other groups want in on the action too, and not only the conservative ones.

We have to be careful on this - - isn't "Free Speech" what the flag burners want to protect?
