Ted Maher -- former Special Forces; Neonatal Intensive Care nurse
American Green Beret veteran and accomplished neonatal nurse Ted Maher has now been held 537 days without trial in Monaco's prison on trumped-up and false charges -- charges of causing the deaths of billionaire banker Edmond Safra and Ted's fellow nurse, Vivian Torrente on December 3, 1999. In truth, Ted fought valiantly against two armed, masked intruders to defend Edmond and Vivian and save their lives. During the struggle, Ted suffered severe knife wounds that required one hundred staples to close.
Billionaire banker Edmond Safra was cooperating with the FBI, who was investigating the IMF/Russian loans. Needing a convenient scapegoat for the murder of Safra, Monaco police subjected Ted to three days of grueling torture designed to extort a false confession from him. (see description in "BASIC TIMELINE" in Thread 1 - http://206.112.97.70/forum/a3ad8b097272d.htm ).
Monaco continues to hold Ted incommunicado, preventing him from sending or receiving mail. In fact, they restrict his communication with his family to one telephone call a week. This call is only allowed to last a few minutes and is always monitored closely to prevent any discussion of the case. Ted is forced by his jailers to take a psychotropic medication and is regularly "interrogated" by the Monaco judge -- Patricia Richet. Reports have been received that Judge Richet is a violent person who has displayed unstable behavior in the past. She allegedly has a history of assaulting a fellow judge, putting him in the hospital for a week. She also tears up letters from Ted's children in front of Ted rather than let him read them.
Hundreds of family, friends, work associates, parents of patients, and Army veterans who served with Ted have vouched for him as being a loyal husband, loving father, and an exemplary professional of great skill and compassion. Ted has also been defended by then-chairman of the House International Relations Committee Ben Gilman and Ted's congresswoman Sue Kelly, who have written Prince Rainier III of Monaco on Ted's behalf. Monaco has no evidence of any crime by Ted; they have no witnesses and no credible case against him. Even worse, Monaco has planted false evidence and suppressed vast amounts of exculpatory evidence -- even passing a special Monaco law that enables them to hold Ted four years without trial.
The Geneva prosecutor has said that Safra was killed for his cooperation with the FBI regarding the laundering through Safra's Republic National Bank of $4.8 billion in IMF loans to Russia.
Regardless of the reason "why," it is obvious that Ted Maher is a scapegoat for a murder by others. We are working to obtain his release and to correct the grave injustice being done to an American Green beret veteran and medical professional.
Ted Maher -- a giver of life, not a taker -- needs our help.

Multiple ignition and sudden conflagration cannot arise from psychokinesis.
Sonia in her contradictory testimony cannot be truthful.
Vivian's body will testify to murder.
Edmond's blood-spatter/DNA does not appear on Vivian from asphyxiation.
Although Lily courts Ted Kennedy and Elton John, they won't appear at trial.
Edmond's "safe" room had the 3mm manganese plate door--but no air?
The Monaco police chose the emergency tape of December 3, 1999 only to lose?

Monaco had better damned-well understand that the truth's going to come out here one way or another; whether, they say so or not.
Now is the time for Monaco to cut their losses by doing the right thing which is, recognizing that Ted Maher had no role in this man's murder!
Ted Maher -- if he in fact did anything wrong a'tall -- has MORE than served his time to the Principality of Monaco & as such?
Ted maher has served all the time he needs; &, should be released as soon as possible for immediate deportation to his native country, the United States of America.
The pending book(s) will be asking a lot tougher questions of Monaco; now, this is a fact.
For instance, "Why hasn't Monaco used the information THEY HAVE to make a FAIR EFFORT at solving this case & bringing the guity parties to justice?"

Michael Griffith wrote a letter of protest to former U.S. Consul to Monaco Martha Melzow:

This is the subject of a New York suit against a number of figures including Lily.
Michael Griffith has objected to the appellate dismissal of the nullities he cited:

This is a clear violation of Monaco law--
Director of Juridical Services Patrice Davost's lies to the contrary notwithstanding.
Michael Griffith has retained Dr. Michael Baden, noted authority on forensics in general and DNA in particular.
The expertise Baden displayed with such spectacular success at the O.J. trial will explode the Monaco coverup.
First stop, Vivian's throat: the trauma is consistent with strangulation--not asphyxiation.
And what of the blood-spatter/DNA from Edmond to Vivian?
Not on Edmond, just on Vivian--as though, say, someone shot Edmond--
Why wouldn't he have just accommodated Lily as her second husband Alfredo "Freddy" Monteverde did in Brazil in 1976?
Freddy SHOT HIMSELF TWICE IN THE HEART!
So sad! And he left Lily $210,000,000.
Another expert will destroy the fairy tale that Ted caused the fire--didn't happen:
The fire report cited multiple sources of ignition, and a sudden conflagration at 6 a.m.--
What magical powers has Ted that he sets multiple fires an hour after he's been rushed to the hospital?
Another police expert will question why, since the first fire alarm went in at 4:54 a.m. (from Ted's candle)--
--why did it take police until 7:45 a.m. (nearly three hours) to "locate" Edmond and Vivian?
Especially when Lily and Sonia were in constant communication with Edmond and Vivian according to testimony.
And another expert will tear apart the design of a "safe" room which did not remove smoke and provide clean air.
All part of the suspicious renovations completed July 1, 1999--the same day SOMEONE DISCONNECTED THE BURGLAR ALARM.
The head of Monaco Securite testified to that--now, who would that have been? Lily or Edmond?
Lily sent the security team away--we know she did, that Ted had nothing to do with nor Edmond.
So who had the burglar alarm disconnected?
Who changed the will to her benefit?
Who changed their citizenship to Monagasque?
Who paid Sonia $100,000 to stay dummied up?
Who paid off Vivian's husband with $2,000,000 of her own money (well, hers after Edmond died)?
Why not wait and let insurance handle it? What's the rush?
And why when Monaco took three days to beat a confession from Ted--
(the first Consul Patricia Feitz saw the bruising of his face)
--does it take Monaco three years to hold a three-hour show trial?
Monaco doesn't want it to show--wants it to go away.

I'd like to believe there's a better if not, more reliable way than relying on politicians.
Whether a politician helps or not in situations like this??
