Of course we need to aggressively pursue creeps, but there is a darkside to these witchhunts:

Want to utterly destroy someone? It is all too easy. Just put a few (or a few hundred) illegal photos on their computer. If you want to be thorough: fake a few cookies and fake some e-mails... and presto: They are wiped out and they are completely defenseless. Not a soul in the world will believe they are innocent. There is nothing they can do. They'll never hold another job. Their family will break apart. Ruined... and anybody can do it.
