Lawsuit claims Iraq behind OKC bombing

Lawsuit claims Iraq behind OKC bombing

For more than six years, the federal government has maintained that Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols acted alone in bombing the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.

But now, a lawsuit charges that agents of Iraq in whole or in part 'orchestrated, assisted and aided' in the plot to blow up the building.

Officially, McVeigh and Nichols are held responsible. But an Oklahoma City lawyer alleges that a master terrorist workng for Iraq was behind the bombing. His name is Ramzi Youssef.

"They planned to send him out on a campaign of international terror," attorney Michael Johnston said.

There is no doubt Ramzi Youssef is a master bomber. He was convicted for his involvement in the first bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993. He also blew up a 747 in the Philippines in 1995, killing one man.

Youssef is now serving 240 years in prison. His sidekick, Abdul Murad, is also serving a prison sentence. On the day of the Oklahoma City bombing, Murad claimed responsiblity, saying the Liberation Army had done it. An FBI report shows he made the statement to an FBI agent.

Former CIA official Vince Cannistraro received a warning about the attack, the FBI report shows. Cannistraro got a call from a Saudi counter-terrorism expert before the bombing, who said there was a squad of people currently in the United States, very possibly Iraqis, who had been tasked with carrying out terrorist acts aginst the country. First on the list was the federal building in Oklahoma City.

The connection between Oklahoma City bomber Terry Nichols, Ramzi Youssef and Abdul Murad is the Phillippines. Nichols had a Phillipine wife. He traveled there often. And there, lawyer Michael Johnston says, under the instruction of Ramzi Youssef, Nichols learned to make a bomb like Youssef had made in New York.

"They were both large fertilizer bombs," Johnston said. "They were both delivered to the scene by Ryder trucks that were rented in adjoining states. And, they were both positioned in such a way to bring down the buildings that were the targets of the attack."

Terry Nichols' passport records, obtained by News 8, show he was in the Philippines at the same time as Youssef. Another report, from a high-ranking Philippine official, notes that in 1996, Philippine officials thought Terry Nichols was a Pakistani, Arab, or U.S. National.

The suit was filed by the conservative Washington-based legal group Judicial Watch. It has filed a number of lawsuits alleging wrongdoing in the Clinton and Bush administrations. One of the goals of the lawsuit is to obtain evidence that's been under seal in Federal Court in Denver, Colo. Another goal of the suit is compensation: the victims are asking for $1.4 billion in punitive damages from the Republic of Iraq.

You know how I know it too the type of explosive, quanity, distance, etc would not have caused such damage to the building.

Unfortunately, facts don't matter! The average American has the attention span of a 5 year old, and that might even be too kind of an assessment. The evening news has told them repeatedly that it's over, so as far as the average American is concerned it's over. No one cares anymore! Don't be a Waco/OKC junkie. It's a waste of time.

Oh its not that that Im a lazy gen xer with a short attention span too( in fact im procrastinating on work I should be doing right now) most Americans are scientifically & technically illiterate plus they are not deeply cynical like I am and believe the mainstream media's version of events. Luckily now I have FR and don't need the mainstream media.

"Anyone who cannot accept the fact that it is over with regard to finding the truth about the Branch Davidian Massacre. Anyone who cannot accept the fact that this atrocity has been swept under the rug, and nothing will effect the final outcome."

But there's this Age Old Truism about Retribution. It can happen in this realm, or the next. But the maggots involved in that Slaughter are finding that many will never forget, just like OKCBomb, Ruby Ridge, Flt. 800, now the WTC. And it's going to be kept out in front of them for the rest of their natural life. After that, they REALLY will pay a price. The Slaughter of little Children and other innocents I've understood does NOT sit well with God.

"And, they were both positioned in such a way to bring down the buildings that were the targets of the attack."

Not true in both cases? In OKC wasn't the truck merely driven up in front of the building. And WTC in NYC didn't "bring down the building."

The suit was filed by the conservative Washington-based legal group Judicial Watch.

It would appear that Larry Clayman's group can be 'duped' into believing this malarky with enough repitition, week after week, month after month, LONG after rational people have come to other conclusions based on verifiable FACT and not a long list of inuendo, 'may haves' and 'can be linked to's' ...

You're right. God won't forget! That's all the justice we'll ever see in this case.

For months on numerous threads you have expressed your intellectual superiority to all those that have sought to have all those responsible for the OKC bombing brought to justice. Why don't you tune in tommorrow to FOX and afterwards make your case for not exploring all possible leads to bring to justice all the responsible parties for the murder of 168 citizens.

You have spent months of your life distracting members seeking answers about OKC with your name calling and personal attacks while never once contributing anything of substance to support your position.

Once it has been established in court that the "axis of evil" terrorist network, that has been at war with the U.S. since 1991, partcipated in the OKC bombing, you will be the one that will have to face yourself in the mirror and reflect on your role in supporting the agenda of the "evil ones" that attacked America on 9-11.

Are you ready to choose a side?

One of the goals of the lawsuit is to obtain evidence that's been under seal in Federal Court in Denver, Colo.

Would evidence under seal include the miles of security camera footage that's never seen the light of day? Or would that 'evidence' have been hidden from the court and destroyed?

Fred, it was probably bulldozed by clinton's gang with the rest of the evidence...

Thinden: Michael Johnston is probably the JW attorney who filed the suit.

Syncro: I watch it, once in a while. Have been, on and off, for 25 years.
