Conservative Rock Groups?
Posted on 03/17/2002 11:56:23 AM PST by Lebowski
I was wondering if anybody can name some conservative rockers. It seams most people in the Music Industry are Left-Leaning, especially the hard stuff. I think you could say the same for most entertainment personalities, including movie stars and directors. So if any of my fellow conservatives could point me in the way of some good conservative rock groups it would be appreciated.

M. manson is a fiscal conservative and a strong supporter of Bush. If you listen (or read) the lyrics of the Dope show album you see he is lashing out at the liberal way of live. God is in the tv and that we pump our kids full of drugs to make them listen. I think people write him off too quickly and don't actually hear what he is saying. He bashes the libs and they don't even know it. I don't think he lives they way that is hyped, I have seen him in a couple of interviews and I believe Marylin Manson the character is very different than Brian Warner (his real name)

I don't know their politics because their music has been decidedly non-political over the years, but the Allman Brothers changed a line in one of their classic songs on their recent live double cd.
The original line in "Ain't Wastin' Time No More" is:
"Well by and by, way after many years have gone,
And all the war freaks die off, leavin' us alone."
Was changed to:
"Well by and by, way after many years have gone,
And all the terrorists die off, leavin' us alone."
That is quite a change considering.

I've heard him speak.
I like Gene Simmon's politics better than his music.

Capitol Offense!
Arkansas Governor just wants to rock and roll
Arkansas Governor
Mike Huckabee just wants to rock and roll. The bass playing politico sent Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz this photo of himself and his band of executive staffers--Capitol Offense. When not battling with the legislature and managing affairs of state, Gov. Huckabee (far left) and Capitol Offense regularly perform at political events and parties.
A note the Governor sent with the photo reads, "I wanted you to have a photo of our band "Capitol Offense" playing in the Governor's Conference Room during a bill signing ceremony honoring Arkansas native Johnny Cash.
You will note that ALL band members are playing Gibson guitars, and playing them PROUDLY!
Best Wishes,
Mike Huckabee"
And they will be playing on Jan 20, 2005 at the Free Republic W2 Freeper Ball

Queensryche, Riot, Savatage, the new Judas Priest cd has some very anti NWO lyrics. Check out Queensryche, especially "operation mindcrime" which reads like a black ops subterfuge operation. Lots of political intrigue. Unfortunately...as much as I LOVE older Q-ryche...Geoff Tate is a Barking Moonbat LIEberal, and everything past "Promised Lane" is LIEberal slant and screed!
Check out the Q-ryche boards post 9/11...you'll see.

I think that is a rumor that I heard, oh, about 1980....
Based on their music, I think "Keep It Simple, Stupid" is probably more accurate.
