Iraq-Al Qaeda Bombshell: Mag Documents New Links

A report set to hit newsstands Monday documenting ties between Iraq's Mukhabarat intelligence service and Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda terrorist organization is being called "a blockbuster" by former CIA Director James Woolsey.

The New Yorker magazine report details cooperation between al Qaeda agents in Northern Iraq and intelligence operatives working for Saddam Hussein, Woolsey told CNN's "Late Edition," including:

*Details of the ten-year-long working relationship between al Qaeda and Mukhabarat agents in attacks on the Kurdish minority.

*Evidence that the Mukhabarat smuggled weapons into Afghanistan to help al Qaeda forces.

*Accounts of al Qaeda refugees being brought into Iraq.

The New Yorker report also quotes Kurdish sources as saying the CIA had no interest the Mukhabarat-al Qaeda links, prompting this reaction from ex-Director Woolsey:

"The CIA has over recent years not been real enthusiastic about the Iraqi resistance and I think that's a shame. If they got beat on this story by the New Yorker and (its reporter) Jeff Goldberg, three cheers for the fourth estate."

"In think (the New Yorker) piece is a blockbuster," added Woolsey.

One thing you can do is refuse to buy your gas at any station except Hess and Citgo. Both pump western hemisphere petrol.

Oil companies 'swap' products all the time. They may not import directly but you have no way of knowing where their gas came from.

Say not "Trinity"

Actually, it did.

John 1:1 says that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God."

Then he continues by saying that the Word was with God and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God and by Him were all things made that were made.

After a short series of passages on John the aptist, we see in verse 14 the "The Word became flesh and dwellt among us."

Now, if the Word was God, was with God, and made all things, the Word is absolutely God.

If the Word became a man and dwelled with us, then God became a man.

You don't have to believe it, but don't tell me that the church never taught that Christ Jesus was one with the Father.

In fact, I consider the Gospel According to John to tbe the New Testament's "Genensis", soley on the fact that they both begin with "In the Beginning.

Also, in Genesis, we see that "And God said, let US make man in OUR image."

This ties in with the Trinity, especially in light of the verses in John 1 where we see that the Word was with God, and tha He was God. The best part is that He came unto His own. The Word (God) became flesh and dwelled among us.

Try again.

Damn, but you make alot of sense. Is your specialty middle east studies?

No, just applied common sense. Thanks!

Come on, if Hussein sneezes he gets bombed ! It has been found to be of a grade which was made in Ft. Detrick, Md. and it is believed to be a domestic who knows the weapons grade process, who has been innoculated and who formerl worked with the stuff at Ft. Detrick !

Same place where the "flu bugs" probably escaped, or were distributed from way back in the '50's.

Sure, then I'll confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that God has raised Him from the dead, and then just sin away coz I'll be saved anyway.
There's a difference between early Christianity and what it turned into in a few short centuries.

Not all forms of Christianity subscribe to the trinity idea..

I wonder what the bastards who crashed those planes thought would guarantee them salvation? Something easily do-able like the blockquote above perhaps?

I believe that I need to do more than lip service to be saved, but that's only me of course, you can pretend the easy way
:^D

I read your profile, and I kinda like it. Saul was a convert too, after which he became Paul. But he remained a zealot... Are you a zealot?

But, am I supposed to believe that I can work my out of it?

Works validates you before God based on your actions.

Grace validates me before God based on Jesus' actions.

I'll take His works over mine any day of the week.

I guess that what you call a zealot bears definition.

I love Jesus. I think everyone should love Him. It should be a choice. One day it'll be too late. If that makes me a zealot, then I'm glad to be one.

PS-I'm gonna spend a few hours with my wife watching an old western. Maybe we can speak tomorrow? Peace.

"Oh goodie, goodie! Now we get to turn Baghdad into a material resembling, say, blown fiberglass insulation!"

Well, not all of Baghdad, just Saddam's palaces, the Republican Guard and his facilities for making nukes, bio-weapons and chemical weapons. That's all and we'll liberate the Iraqi people, whose reaction will be just like the Afghanis. It doesn't make sense to wait for Saddam to attack us again and again and again.

"Liberate the people" the way you are "liberating" the Palestinian people ? There are no A-bombs or facilities in Iraq this was recently verified by UN Inspectors ! So to make the mid-east a "nuclear free" area shouldn't we require Israel to give-up its nuclear bombs and facilities before it becomes too powerful to use them on the USA ?

Remember the attack on the USS Liberty in 1967- when Pres.Johnson and McNamara called back fighter planes sent by a Naval Admiral to stop the attack and it continued for 4 hours- including torpedoe boats and sinking of life rafts. So Israel has shown it will attack the US. An attack on a US Naval vessel is an attack upon the USA itself. President Johnson and McNamara names should live in infamy for what they did to my beloved USA.

... accompanied as it was by a sample of weapons grade, aerosolizable anthrax ... Saddam's question for Bush is, Do you feel lucky, punk?

What do you make of the FBI's conclusion, after genetic and other scientific analysis, that the anthrax was stolen from an American lab by a mad American scientist?

It has been found to be of a grade which was made in Ft. Detrick, Md. and it is believed to be a domestic who knows the weapons grade process, who has been innoculated and who formerl worked with the stuff at Ft. Detrick !

Actually, the FBI arrested the individual who sent the anthrax letters in Hamilton Township, NJ, back on November 2, 2001, and he has been held in custody without charge under the new anti-terrorism regs ever since. The perp's name is Allah Rakah. The FBI-nurtured rumor that the anthrax could have come from a US weapons lab is simply the latest in a long line of stalls, necessitated by the fact that Saddam seized the initiative with the 9/11 attacks and the followup anthrax threats and, so far, there is not a thing we can do about it. If you recall, before the "rogue scientist theory," the prevalent rumor was the "right-wing militia" theory, injected into the public arena by Bob Woodward in The Washington Post. Before that, it was the notion that the anthrax attack at American Media was an "isolated incident," probably "unrelated to 9-11," "criminal" but not necessarily terroristic, the implication being that the tabloid's office was targeted by a pissed-off celebrity. And before that, the official spin was that Bob Stevens, "keen outdoorsman" that he was, most probably caught inhalation anthrax from a mountain stream, and it was just a coincidence that he lived less than a mile from the airfield where Mohammed Atta practiced flying or that, as it later came out, he worked in the office of the 9-11 hijackers' landlord.

Meanwhile, according to The Washington Post, Dick Cheney and his staff were put on Cipro on the night of 9-11. They had a pretty good idea of what our attackers' next move might be. Since the a priori probability that Saddam was behind the attacks was high, and the only weapon of mass destruction currently available to Saddam is anthrax, simple logic told the administration to expect a gambit involving bioterror. The only question, in light of what may have been an abortive attempt to take out the White House and the Congress in one fell swoop on 9-11, was whether Saddam would go right for the jugular, or use his arsenal in a deterrence mode. Fortunately for us, it turns out that Saddam, unlike his buddy Osama, is not suicidal. Be grateful for small mercies.

They have reached no such conclusion. See the post above.

If Hussein wants Iraq to believe he is fundamentally Muslim, then he must be manifest testimony that Mohammed sported a thick cropped mustache,....just like everybody in Saddam's regime. (women included I suspect.)
