No one ever got a pass, but there is a case that served a year or so, and then was released. Think it over. AY got this because she killed five. If she'd just killed one-- we wouldn't be talking about it. Sorry-- can't cite the case, but it happened.

I would have no trouble in saying that "Ms." Yates could be a danger to society in the future." No trouble at all saying that. I would not want to sit next to "Ms." Yates for five seconds, much less put her into society.

You better believe there is a double standard even here in Texas. If the roles were reversed the father would be heading to Death Row, and the mother would have all the sympathy in the world. In reality, we have the murdering mother getting life and sympathy and the father being demonized. Life is just not fair, even in Texas.

Roughly 30 years ago, death row inmates were asked if they would prefer life in prison to execution. Almost to a man, they said they would.

That is what my point is, if her husband would have made an effort to get her treated for depression, she would not have went this far. Depression that is not treated can lead to schitzophrenia(sp), dementia, etc.

Her husband was probably one of those who think depression is all in your head, and she just needs to brush it off, and get over it. That's like telling a diabetic to brush it off and get over it. They are both illnesses that need treatment.

Going to be interesting to see if he does. I hope she doesn't divorce him, just to prevent him from marrying someone else, and doing the same mind control crap on wife #2.

They were told that they shouldn't have any more kids because of her state of mind but that didn't stop Russel Yates from getting her pregnant again. Must be they didn't believe in birth control, or celibacy. If he's so 'pious', one would think that extra marital sex would be out of the question.

Perhaps a forced celibate life for him will be a small token of justice for him, jerk that he is!

True, but you see, that wouldn't be justice. Whether it would be Divine justice, I won't even get into here: but WE are charged with exacting justice in the case of murder (Genesis 9:6). Here's a classic case of deliberate, premeditated, no-doubts-about-who-did-it murder. It is an index of this nation's spiritual decline that it can't simply weep for the childre, weep for the perpetrator, pray for her conversion, and execute her.

Sorry..I didn't mean to sound like I was snapping at you...I just don't understand why she should be treated any different/better than anyone else. So WHAT if she is on the lowest ladder according to the inmates??? SHE DID IT, DAMMIT. She should be treated like EVERYONE ELSE. /RANT
