That is what my point is, if her husband would have made an effort to get her treated for depression, she would not have went this far. Depression that is not treated can lead to schitzophrenia(sp), dementia, etc.
Her husband was probably one of those who think depression is all in your head, and she just needs to brush it off, and get over it. That's like telling a diabetic to brush it off and get over it. They are both illnesses that need treatment.

Depression that is not treated can lead to schitzophrenia(sp), dementia, etc.I'm not a psychiatrist, but I don't think that's right. Schizophrenia is a specific disease caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. I don't think you can get it because you weren't treated for something else.
