Not in prison yet,but they would have surely been arrested and jailed. Maybe even for their own protection.
If one were to limit their viewpoint to specifically monetary loss only, I suppose it would appear as a circular argument. Yet money isn't what's been lost here . . .
I am not dependent upon my father, nor is my father dependent upon me. Because he lives several hundred miles away from me, I do not get the opportunity to see him much anymore . . .
Do you contend that, given the circumstances above, I would not suffer a loss if some heartless scumbag struck him with their car, impaled him, then hid him from view and denied medical attention, allowing him to die?
I submit to you that no individual, not one, would be capable of appropriately compensating me for my loss. The courts would not be able to extract any thing that would offset that loss effectively and equitably . . .
Irregardless of dependencies, a loss has been suffered. The only compensation available for the courts to use is money. Monetary judgements are wholly inadequate, yet its the only thing available . . .
I sent e-mails to three writers for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram that have been covering this story. I've been checking and hadn't seen any updates since I posted this article. I thought I heard on the radio yesterday that Chante Mallard had posted bail, but that turns out NOT true, per an e-mail reply from Nancy Calaway with the DMN.......
Thank you for reading The Dallas Morning News.
I just called the Tarrant County Jail and Chante Mallard has not
posted bail on her murder charge. We have been checking on her
status daily, and I assure you that when new information develops,
we will have another article.
Thanks for writing,
Nancy Calaway

I know......I know........what can I say? We all need to keep writing, calling, e-mailing, that's for sure.
What does it matter if he lived a few hours or a few days? He is dead now! She still refused to get him lifesaving medical care. She is criminally and civilly liable. She should get NOW, Rainbow/PUSH and the NAACP to pay the wrongful death settlement, and it should be in the millions. May they go completely broke!
The silence from the left is deafening.
I suppose it goes without saying that the mail, email, and phone calls they've probably gotten over the last couple of weeks expressing outrage over this incident are neither newsworthy nor noteworthy. A true testament to their lack of objectivity. All in the name of peaceful co-existence. They wouldn't want to do anything to awaken the real victims of their quaint little world. I'm past the "It makes me want to puke" stage, and have reached the "I want to shake the $hit out of 'em til they come to their senses" stage.
Thanks for writing,
Now go away, we'll let you know when there's something WE feel is newsworthy!

When Byrd was killed in NE Texas, the locals voluntarily donated monies for the family, the funeral, and loved ones while making it incredibly clear that such behavior wouldn't be tolerated by white and black alike.
In this situation, a handful of blacks were involved in conspiracy to aid and abet in the coverup of the criminal activity. Only when one turned them in, was that person in turn threatened for having been honest about the crime. Where's the moral outrage from the local community of peers of the person responsible for the killing and the coverups?
You have captured the essence of the thread in those 20 words. It's unreal.
Where's the moral outrage from the local community of peers of the person responsible for the killing and the coverups?Sure is. The silence by the media is deafening, too. She is still in jail, though. You have captured the essence of the thread in those 20 words. It's unreal.
