A Disturbing Letter from a Saudi
FrontPageMagazine.com ^ | March 15, 2K2 | Saudi Citizen to David Horowitz

Posted on 03/14/2002 9:38:16 PM PST by rdb3

I RECEIVED the following email from someone describing himself as a "Saudi Citizen." I have no way of knowing whether it is authentic, but its particulars seem accurate to me and I invite readers of FrontPage to comment.

--David Horowitz

***

Message from a Saudi Citizen

Do not forget that radical Islam is more pervasive in the Arab world than Christianity is in the West. There is no "dissent" or "constructive engagement". The goal of Islam is to destroy anything or anyone that is not Islam. The US is responding, but your intelligence services are still sclerotic and slow. Are you paying attention America? There are two fronts on this war: one military (9/11) and one political.

--DH

Islam is colonizing the US, Europe and Asia. Bush is wrong to say that most American Muslims are anti-Terrorism. If they did not cheer in the streets on 9/11, they cheered in their homes. I was with Hussein Ibish and Hamid Faraoui that day, watching them cheering and singing, then denouncing the attacks on TV later that day. Khatami, Hussein and Assad reach out to US democrats, journalists, etc. Many Arabs loved the remarks of President Carter, joking "we may have to kill him last."

Ordinary Americans are rising to the occasion, showing patriotism, sacrificing husbands and fathers. Your coastal elites are assisting radical Islam. They want America to be tolerant of terrorism and to imagine themselves guilty of previous generations crimes. We watch your news. We know this is true. [Bill] Moyers goes as far as saying Judaism, Christianity and Islam are equally guilty of terrorism. These comments are played on Saudi TV amongst reports of Israelis eating Palestinian children. Susan Sontag and Bobby Fischer got front page billing in the Saudi press for comments supportive of the 9/11 attacks, flanked by a pair of stories detailing US racism against Muslims and the killing of Palestinian babies at Israeli hospitals. Lies, of course, but seem true next to actual comments by Americans.

It surprises us moderate Muslims to see half of American society help radical Islam kill America and the West.  Your political left is justifying terrorism in the minds of the "Arab street" as you call it. They forget that Usama bin Laden has higher approval numbers in Saudi Arabia than Bush has in the US. Every bit of self doubt or anti-Americanism helps bin Laden. Every Saudi student that comes home after a US college education repeats the anti-Americanism he hears at university. "You see, they even hate themselves," is a refrain heard from many Saudi graduates of US universities.

I can't tell America what to do, but anyone can see what you are doing to yourselves.

Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Radical islam is an insane death cult, and moderate islam is the trojan horse of radical islam.

Think about it: what kind of sick twisted "religion" promises an eternity of orgies with 72 virgins as a reward for the mass murder of innocent women and children?

Maybe if the rich mullahs and other wealthy muslims didn't marry so many of the young teenage girls, there would be enough to go around, and no need to fill young muslim mens' minds with sick fantasies of orgies in allah's "paradise".

If they detonate a nuke here, we will all get the answer to that burning question at last:

Will muslims by the million continue to line up and lay down and pray to a mile-wide smoking radioactive crater where their black "moon rock" once existed?

Or will that prove to them the impotence of their false god, and dump the wind out of their cult's sails?

I still think the worst enemies of the USA in the whole world, are the leftist authorities under whose heel we live right here.

Even if an "Islamic bomb" were to drop, you can be sure that the left's armies and national guard would use its guns only against Americans who tried to survive, while protecting Muslims and other anti-American elements who support the Left's agenda.

Once there are no Anglo-Americans remaining alive in the Country, I do not know who will save any of the Left who were of that ethnicity, from the various elements they led and paid for. I also do not care.

Don't get me wrong. I hope the Second Coming occurs soon too. But if not, we are only some 75 years away from the death of the last anglo-American. Don't bother buying a tombstone for yourself, no one could read it anyway. And don't put a cross on it. You might put a message in Spanish saying that your teeth are all plastic, no silver or gold.

The level of English skill in the writing is very high for a random Saudi citizen.

Your argument here is far from convincing. To wit, English is the universal business language. Saudi Arabia has a very high literacy rate compared to other Arab nations.

Using your argument against itself, whose to say that this Saudi citizen is "random?" What if the writer of the e-mail is not "random?"

Your logic too easily passes this off.

My feeling is the author expresses the views of the vast majority of his country, fellow Arabs and Muslims towards the United States that they have learned not to say on camera. But that they've refrained from saying it openly does NOT mean they're not anti-American. They are. And if you really need proof of how 9-11 hasn't changed American Muslim's hatred of America, just look at the flock of American Muslim organizations that came out on behalf of Jamil Al Amin. This is the true attitude of the cult that President Bush and the American Left naively describe as the "religion of peace." Fortunately, ordinary Americans do seem to get it --- and this new enemy is not going to go away anytime soon.

Well, personally, I feel no guilt

We're not as squeaky-clean as you might like to think, but that's no reason to shy away from prosecuting the guilty parties.

We have a President who talks Home Security and then enacts legislation contrary to our safety.

Let's back up a bit. The language contained in the actual bill is not cut and dried "amnesty" for illegal aliens. I'm amazed at how we on the Right rend our clothes and throw ashes upon our heads at the snap of the fingers. President Reagan, who most here would consider to be a great ex-President, did the exact same thing in 1986. Yet his status remains high, yet we want to throw our current President out the window over a bill that does not just grant blanket amnesty.

The INS situation has been out of control for decades. Can't blame G.W., can't blame Clinton (as much as we might like to). Can't blame G.H.W. Bush, can't blame Reagan, and maybe couldn't blame Carter. This bureaucracy has been out of control for a long, long time. So now we want to get immigration under control. How do we go about it? Do we institute our own form of a Kristallnacht? I certainly would hope not. It's going to be a long and nasty road to travel to finally get immigration totally under control.

Also, it was a smart move for the President to downplay the jihad here in America. As raw as all of our emotions were right after 9/11, what would have occurred if Bush at a press conference said, "this evil of Islam must stop?" There would have been blood in the streets. Enough blood had been shed in those three American airline jets. As the nation's CEO, that's poor stewardship of the office of the Presidency to use words that would incite such an actions.

Lastly, your frustration may or may not be warranted. You certainly have the right to do with your franchise as you see fit. But I will tell you this. If we fracture ourselves on the Right, we cannot complain with a RAT in the White House. Which is worse because then lifetime appointments to the bench get made. A protest vote or non-vote only hurts us and helps the enemy. Think about that.

Never a truer word said. The capacity of the left to hate America should not be under-estimated and factored into this war.

What do you expect from Horowitz, a former democrat who now claims to be a conservative. Sometimes you really have to consider the source.

And just what does that have to do with anything? He's a valuable resource for the Right, and it's inexcusable for we on the Right not to have the sense to realize this. I used to be a Democrat, and listening to your logic I should not even be here. Also, he was never a Dem. He was an unabashed communist.

If this is the treatment those of us who finally see the light are going to get, why bother making the change?

Your opinion (which you have a right to) just doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If people can grow and see the error of their former ways, we should commend them, not condemn them.

I'm afraid your objections are groundless.

This is the true attitude of the cult that President Bush and the American Left naively describe as the "religion of peace."

President Bush is not naive on this particular deal. What he said was said to maintain peace in our own nation. That was a smart move. We did not need lynch mobs looking for the nearest mosque.

Now, if you want to make the argument that the RATS are naive about this, you have a point. We all know that they are blatantly anti-American.

No one was asking people to lynch them. Otoh there would have been national demands they be deported and come of think of it that was would have been a marvelous development indeed. Just what am I missing here if President Bush had proclaimed Islamist fascism to be the enemy of America?

Nothing. You're not missing a thing. But discretion is indeed the better part of valor. At the time (let's please keep that in mind), we had just lost thousands of citizens, the WTC, and the Pentagon was badly damaged. The nation's nerve was raw. President Bush did right by calming it down and not using words to fuel further passions of vengeance.

Islamist facism IS the enemy of America, and the rest of the free world as well. Plain ol' Joe Blow understands that. But, again, he made a shrewd move at that time.

And here is maybe the most important, but also the most overlooked thing to think about. Where does our oil still come from? No oil, no economy. Did you want to piss off OPEC over a few words when no other alternatives exist at the moment? I would hope not. If it weren't for Jeffords, we'd be drilling at ANWR as we speak. We get to finally drill that land, and the rest of our offshore oil deposits, then we can tell the OPEC nations to go to hell. But right now, like it or not, they have us all by the short and curlies.

That's just the plain, painful, and unadulterated truth.

Oh, so you do want a Kristallnacht. How do we go about deporting the illegals when, thanks to the INS, we don't know who is illegal and, most importantly, where they are located right now? I'm with you, trust me. But this is going to be tough to do. It's not like returning a pair of jeans that don't fit to a department store. We've totally lost track of all of them.

Do you have to conjugate that? (Sometimes smart-aleckiness has to be refuted with smart-aleckiness, even though that's not my style).
